A Prophecy is Found

Chapter 24

Alexis and Draco waited at the edge of The Forbidden Forest for what seemed like ages when they saw Harry and Hermione leading an irate-looking Umbridge into the woods. The group shared an odd look but continued to wait hoping the two of them had some kind of plan.

Alexis had found a herd of Thestrals and had gotten a good amount to follow with meat they found in Hagrid's abandoned hut. Draco had to help without knowing where anything was. He had never seen death so he wasn't able to see the Thestrals. Once they had them all calmly waiting Alexis stood staring into the spot where Harry and Hermione had disappeared with Umbridge absentmindedly petting one of the Thestrals.

Ginny, Ron, Luna, and Neville came running down the hill at about the same time that Harry and Hermione emerged without Umbridge from the forest. As the groups all merged Harry told her, "Kreacher said he was alone in the house and said quite menacingly that He had him so we need to go now."

"Alright everyone grab a ride and let's go," She said helping Draco onto one and then hopping up on one of the Thestrals. "Oh no, just us not everyone is coming!" Harry exclaimed adamantly. Alexis glared down at him, "Harry my father is in danger, and whoever wants to help can. Stop thinking you need to do everything lone wolf and accept some help." He begrudgingly agreed as the people who could see the Thestrals climbed up.

"How are we supposed to get up on something we can't see?" Ron asked seeing everyone hovering above the ground. Harry quickly hopped down and helped Ginny, Ron, and Hermione all up on a Thestral and how to hold on before jumping back up on his. With everyone finally ready they took off flying for London.

Alexis marveled at the beautiful beasts, she had been fascinated since she had seen them at the end of last year at the edge of The Forbidden Forest. As the group flew twilight began to fall and the landscape below began to darken with the fading light. Alexis sat willing the beast to fly faster. She had to save him, to prove her visions could be changed.

Without warning the Thestral pointed straight down and dove for the ground. She heard some shrieks from the girls and assumed that the dive when you couldn't see what you were on would be pretty terrifying. The group plummeted at a breakneck speed and Alexis held on bracing for the impact but the horse touched down as lightly as a shadow. The group all slid down off their horses and they all heard Ron say frantically, "Never again, never ever again!"

As the group ran over to the telephone booth Alexis realized this wasn't going to work, "We won't all fit Harry, you guys go first and we will be right behind you." Everyone but the Slytherins piled in and the floor fell out and the first group disappeared. The floor came back and she and Draco climbed in and typed in the code. A voice asked their names and business at the ministry, "Alexis, and Draco, and we are here to save Sirius Black!" Alexis yelled at it as the floor dropped out.

When they exited a name badge for each of them was waiting with their name and rescue mission printed on them. Alexis looked around to see Harry and the others had already started without them. She fought down her anger as she took off after them Draco right on her heels. They caught up as they reached the lifts and everyone squeezed inside. "Thanks for waiting for us," She told Harry words dripping with sarcasm. Harry shrugged before hitting the button for floor nine.

A voice called out "Department of Mysteries," as the gate slid open, Harry led them to a plain-looking black door. He opened the door and turned, "Maybe someone should stay here as a lookout." Alexis finally lost her patience, "Harry if you don't stop wasting time and get me to my dad I will knock you into next week!" Harry rolled his eyes but walked through the door without another word.

A circular room made of all black waited on the other side. Filled with identical black doors, "Which way Harry?" Alexis asked as he stood staring unmoving. Suddenly someone closed the door they came through and the room spun making Alexis feel sick.
