Chapter 30

As everyone was getting off the train Draco held her back telling everyone else to go on ahead. She looked at him confused as he closed all the shades on the windows.

"Draco what is going on?" She asked as he pulled out his wand. He pointed it up at the luggage rack, "Petrificus Totalus." Suddenly Harry dropped to the ground frozen in place.

"I didn't know for sure but I thought I heard something when Goyle grabbed his trunk. Do you know why he's spying on us?" Draco looked at her concerned about how much her brother might have been told.

"He, Ron, and Hermione followed you to Nocturn Alley that day. He thinks you're a Death Eater and apparently would do anything to catch you," She kicked her brother in the leg in her frustration.

"I see, well darling I'm gonna let you deal with your brother. I'll be outside waiting when you're done," Draco kissed her cheek and grabbed their things leaving her alone with Harry.

Alexis glared down at him before pulling out her wand and unfreezing him, "What else does he have to do to prove himself? He stood by our side against his father, he has been nothing but good to me. He's my boyfriend for Merlin's sake, Harry. I have listened to you for weeks trash-talking him. Give up this vendetta against him already. You don't know anything about what he has been through this summer so just let it go!"

Harry stood up looking her dead in the eyes, "He's bad news Lex, and you can't see it just like you didn't see it with Riddle. I'm not going to stop until I prove it, whether he's your boyfriend or not."

Alexis felt her frustration boil over in an instant and her fist shot out before she knew what was happening. Her fist collided with his nose and blood immediately started pouring out. "Stay away from me and my boyfriend Harry, that's the only warning you're gonna get," She turned on her heel and walked out of the train.

Draco was waiting as she came out fuming, he saw some blood on her knuckles and raised an eyebrow. "Don't ask, love. Let's just get to the carriages," She turned and walked up the hill with Draco following right behind.

They managed to catch the last carriage up to the school and they had it all to themselves. Alexis leaned her head on Draco's shoulder as he wrapped an arm around her waist. "He's not gonna stop Draco, he's going to be watching you all year. You need to be careful. I'll do my best to keep him away from you while you do what you have to but it may not be enough."

"I don't want to do any of this, I wish I had any other option. It's him or me, and I can't let you lose anyone else," Draco kissed the top of her head holding her closer.

"We will figure it out, together. For the Dark Lord to be defeated you have to be alive. There isn't another option I wish it didn't have to be this way but Dumbledore has to die and I can't lose you," Alexis wrapped her arms around him and buried her head in his chest. They held each other close all the way up to the school.

They sat down at the Slytherin table in the Great Hall and Alexis looked at her friends sitting with Mattheo. He had a cruel grin as he looked over at her and Draco. She started to get up but Draco put a hand on her, "He's not worth it darling just let it go."

After dinner, they headed back to the common room but Ron and Hermione stopped them as they left the Great Hall, "You broke Harry's nose, Lex? What were you thinking?" Hermione demanded getting in her face.

Alexis glared at her, "Maybe if he kept his nose out of my boyfriend's business it wouldn't have happened. I'm tired of him making accusations when he has no clue what is going on. I'll apologize once he pulls his head out of his ass."

Draco gently pulled her away and they made their way down to the common room. Draco had a small smile that continued to get bigger as they walked down the halls until he had a huge grin on his face.
