Chase was the first to wake up in the morning, as usual. He checked the alarm clock on his bedside table and realized it was still 5:20 in the morning. Chase figured it was best not to wake anyone up just yet. As he laid back down, he remembered last night's events. Gabriel, Ainsley, Bruce, and Dave know the truth about the Paw Patrol. They know that Chase and the others are from a different world where they are young canines.

Chase couldn't help but remember Ainsley's expression when she found out. She looked at Chase with her eyes wide open. Chase could feel the feelings of confusion, distraught, disbelief, and disappointment. Chase wasn't sure why she was disappointed, but he knew Ainsley was hurt. Chase and the others kept the truth from them and felt disrespected.

Chase decided to get out of his bed. He put on a new set of clothes and left his room. Chase went down the stairs and entered the kitchen. He craved a coffee, so that's what he would make. The problem was Chase never made coffee before and didn't know what to put in it. He pulled out anything he thought could in the coffee. He took the coffee ground, sugar, milk, chocolate syrup, brown sugar, and maple syrup.

Chase looked at all the ingredients he pulled out. He cracked his knuckles and smiled. "Okay, Chase," he told himself. "Let's do this."

After twenty minutes of being alone, Ainsley walked into the dining room. She sat down at the table and leaned her head back in exhaustion. She didn't get much sleep that night. "Ugh," Ainsley groaned out loud. "I need a coffee."

"Ask, and you shall receive," Chase exclaimed as he entered the dining room. He held two cups of coffee in his hands. He smiled as he carried them over to the table. Chase placed one cup in front of Ainsley and sat across from her.

"Chase," Ainsley said in shock. She quickly sat up straight. "I didn't know you were awake."

Chase shrugged. "I usually wake up early. I felt like drinking coffee, so I made some."

"And you made one for me too."

"I remembered you wake up early, so I made an extra one."

Ainsley smiled at the sight of the coffee. "Thanks, Chase," she replied. They tapped their cups together, and Ainsley took a sip. She almost spit it out. Since Chase was watching, Ainsley forced the drink down. "It...has a unique flavor," she confessed.

Chase smiled. "Not bad for my first time?" he took a small sip. His eyes shot open. He turned around and spit the coffee into a nearby trash can. "It's bad," he said. He looked at his cup once before throwing it away. "I'm surprised it didn't kill us."

Ainsley laughed as Chase took her cup. "Yes, it's pretty bad."

Chase tossed her cup and sat down. "I'm sorry, Ainsley," he apologized. "I tried to make it up to you for what happened last night."

Ainsley's smile faded as she looked away from Chase. "It's fine," Ainsley said.

"No, it's not," Chase retorted. "Look, I know what it's like to be lied to, made to believe one thing, and then have it turned out it was wrong. I'm deeply sorry, Ainsley. And I know that the others are just as sorry." Chase stayed silent for a second. "Well, maybe not Rubble. He doesn't know yet."

Ainsley chuckled at the joke. "It's fine, Chase. I know you all meant the best. But no more secrets, okay? From anyone."

Chase raised his hands in surrender. "That's fine by me." He looked at the trashcan behind him and then back at Ainsley. "Could you show me how to make coffee?" he pleaded.

Ainsley smiled as she got up. "Of course, Chase." They entered the kitchen and made coffee. Twenty minutes later, there were eleven cups of coffee ready. They took them out of the kitchen and set them on the table as Gabriel and Ryder entered the dining room.
