Ryder quickly changed and met Chase outside the hallway. While Ryder dressed, Chase called the others, telling them to get in their uniforms. One by one, they walked out of their rooms and went together to the conference room.
Upon entering the room, they noticed Bruce, Gabriel, Dave, and Ainsley waiting. They were looking over the map on the table and discussing it softly. As the Paw Patrol entered the room, they looked up at them.
"Sorry for waking you guys up so early," Gabriel said.
"No worries, Gabriel," Ryder replied. "So, what happened?"
"Well, I woke up about half an hour ago. I went to our training facility for a while, and that's where I saw Chase. We talked for a while when we heard an alarm go off. We raced in here and saw that our computer picked up odd signals across town.
Gabriel typed into the computer. Red dots appeared across the map on the table, each with different numbers next to them. Ryder counted eight dots in total. Two were in the water, one was on the bridge, and the others were scattered across the city. Ryder noticed one at the villain's headquarters.
"What are the numbers next to them?" Chase asked.
"Altitudes," Gabriel replied. "How far they are from the water level. I noticed that the ones in the rivers were at zero. They are right on the surface of the water."
"Can we get a real-time view of the dots' locations?" Ryder asked.
"I think so. Give me a second." Gabriel typed into the computer. He clicked 'enter,' and all the dots disappeared.
"Where'd they go?" Bruce asked.
"They're gone," Gabriel said. "We're not getting any signals from them anymore." Out of nowhere, they appeared again.
"There they are again," Marshall called out.
"They seem to appear in the same spots," Chase noted.
Ryder thought about what they could do. "Gabriel, do you have a camera that we can connect to the monitor?"
"Uh, yeah," he said. "Ainsley, please grab the camera from the cabinet to your right." Avery grabbed the camera and gave it to Gabriel. Gabriel turned on the camera and shared the view with the monitor. "Done."
Gabriel gave the camera to Ryder. "What's the range on the camera from the monitor?"
"You could take the camera to Crystal Coast and still see the image here."
"That's more than enough." Ryder passed the camera to Chase. "Chase, do you have your crystal ready?"
"Yes, sir," Chase replied.
"Good," Ryder said. "Take this camera and recon the closest dot to us."
"Okay, but I don't know the street well enough yet."
"I can get you a map," Ainsley stated. When the dots reappeared, Ainsley pulled out a smaller map from a cabinet and marked all the dots with their altitudes. "There you go, Chase."
"Thank you, Ainsley," Chase said. He looked over at Ryder and the others. "Be right back." With that, Chase sped off in superspeed to the nearest location.
After a few seconds, Chase arrived at the roof of a building near the first location. "I'm here, Ryde, sir," Chase said.
"Good. Now, aim the camera at the dot's location." Chase did as ordered.
Ryder and the others watched the image. They noticed some people in the middle of the street. Two wore white lab coats, while five others walked around the area wearing soldier uniforms. The ones with lab coats had clipboards and stopwatches in their hands.
