Ryder and the others made it up to the war room. They stood in front of the entrance door, getting ready to enter. "Okay, Gabriel. We're outside the entrance door."
"Nice work," Gabriel called back through the earpiece. "The button should be in the center, protected by a metal case with a fingerprint scanner."
"Sounds good, thank you," Ryder said before turning to the team. "Okay, pup . . . eh, guys. You know the plan. Chase, you're going in first with your super speed. You will run a perimeter check and count how many soldiers and where they are. After that, Everest and Marshall will create a thick fog, where we will all enter the room. We'll take down the guards and tie them together. Rocky will then use his magnetic powers to remove the metal case."
"We're ready for action, Ryder, sir," Chase announced.
"Alright," Ryder said. "Paw Patrol is on a roll."
Zuma opened the door slightly, allowing Chase to sneak in. Once Chase was inside, he used his super speed and ran around the room. He counted all the soldiers, every entry point, the location of the button, and anything else he thought would be helpful.
Chase returned to the others. "Okay," he said. "I counted twelve guards. The button is where Gabriel said it would be, in the center of the room. It's in the middle of a large, round table. Four men watch the table at all times. There are two other entrances, each guarded by two guards. There are two guards up high, watching over the room like hawks. Two more are looking over a planning board in the far-east corner."
"Okay, Chase, thank you," Ryder said. "Everest, you're up."
Chase passed the crystal back to Everest. With the crystal in her hand, Everest focused on making millions of ice crystals. She felt the moisture in the room, so she cooled them down, allowing them to condense and become water vapor. Everest successfully created fog.
The fog filled the air up to four feet high. The guards looked down in confusion. They looked around, but they didn't see anyone that shouldn't be in the room.
"Should we call it in?" one of the guards on the raised platform asked the other.
At that moment, Skye used the crystal to fly towards him. She pushed him against the wall, knocking him out. The other guy pointed his gun at Skye, but she flew towards him and grabbed him by the vest. Skye flew upwards, taking him higher.
"Hey, let go of me," the guard said.
"If you say so," Skye replied. She spun in circles a few times before dropping the guard back on the platform. It wasn't high enough to injure him badly, but enough to make him dizzy. He got up and tried to run but crashed into a support beam. The guard crumpled to the ground, snoring softly. Skye giggled at the scene. She landed on the platform and dropped the crystal over the ledge.
Rubble caught the crystal. He transformed into a bulldog and rolled into a wrecking ball. He raced towards the two soldiers by the planning board. They held up their guns, trying to find out what made the thuds they heard. They didn't notice Rubble until he rolled into their legs, dropping them onto their backs. Once they were on the ground, Rubble gave the crystal to Everest, who froze them men in ice.
Everest tossed the crystal to Zuma. Zuma held the crystal in his hand as he raised his other one. The nearest water fountain bursts, launching a column of pressurized water and two guards in front of an entrance. They crashed into the entrance, falling against each other and dropping to the ground unconscious.
Zuma passed the crystal to Chase. Chase ran in a circle around the room, building up momentum. When he was going fast enough, he punched one of the guards at the other entrance in the center of his vest. The guard flew backward into the other guard, causing them both to crash into a desk, breaking it into pieces.
The fog dissipated, allowing the four remaining guards around the button to see the Paw Patrol. Their time was running out. Marshall ran up to Chase. "Chase," he called out. "Let's do Shooting Star."
Chase smiled, remembering the move Chase and Marshall had made. They were looking for a way to launch water at multiple fires. They had a silly move, which they called Shooting Star. It worked but was unconventional.
Chase grabbed Marshall by a hand and a foot. Chase began spinning in circles, going faster and faster every time. To the others, all they saw was a tornado of red and blue. At the right moment, Chase let go of Marshall, who had grabbed the crystal from Chase.
As Marshall flew through the air towards the guards, he spun in circles. He formed fireballs and launched them at the guard as he passed by them. Marshall landed on the other side in a superhero pose while the guards fell backward. The fireballs extinguished, but they still had charred circles in their vests.
"Nice job, everyone," Ryder said. "Chase, round the guards and tie them up."
Chase took the crystal back from Marshall and did as Ryder ordered. He carried the unconscious soldiers around the two frozen men. He tied their hands and legs together using a rope he found. Marshall helped Chase unfreeze the two frozen guards, who got tied up. Marshall and Chase returned to the others.
"Okay," Ryder said. "Rocky, time to open the case."
"Not so fast," a voice said from one of the entrances. Eight metal cages flew towards the Paw Patrol, capturing each member. Once everyone was in a cage, they raised a couple of feet off the ground.
"Ryder, what's going on?" asked Rubble.
"I don't know," Ryder replied. "Don't let your guard down."
"It won't matter," the voice said. The Paw Patrol followed the sound until they saw a man in a purple suit. "I have caught you, Paw Patrol."
