{ lando's version }

_

I got off the plane, feeling weird to not have Riley walking with me as we listened to some random piece of music. She was usually silent as she adjusted to being back on the ground and would let me ramble about everything. I hated talking that much but it made her feel comfortable and I knew how much she hated flying.

"Lan!"

I looked up at the sound of a familiar voice to see Riley bouncing on her toes as she waved at me. My entire body relaxed as I dropped my bags. She ran over to me and I grabbed her in a hug, spinning us both around as I squeezed her tight.

"I missed you."

I put her feet back on the ground but I didn't let go and she didn't move to let go either. "I missed you too, Riles."

She let go and I stood back up, taking a second to look at her. She was in one of the old Quadrant hoodies with a white tennis skirt. Her hair was clipped back and straightened. She grabbed my free hand as I picked up my bags, walking toward where Max was waiting for us.

I rolled my eyes at his smirk but dapped him up. "Sup."

"Your girl here is the perfect model."

I looked back at Riley and she just shrugged. "I did nothing but stand there."

"Did he try to get you to join Quadrant?"

"Yes!"

I snorted as we all walked toward the car. I put my stuff in the back while Max got into the car. Riley tried to but I lightly slapped her hand away from the door so I could open it for her. She rolled her eyes at me but got in and moved over so I had some space.

"He does that for almost everyone."

"I do not." Max whipped around from the front seat. "And the fans already like her. She would be a good addition."

"You taking the spot?"

She shrugged. "I don't know yet. I'll see."

"Max was right, charm. These are good."

She sat on my hotel bed, throwing one of my tennis balls at the ceiling as Max and I flipped through the photos. They were amazing. Riley said she just stood there but this was beautiful. And Max had a right to offer her that position at Quadrant. I think she would really fit in. But it was her choice and I wouldn't push it.

"They're photos."

"And so it every other modeling picture. It doesn't make it any less good. Take my compliment or I won't show you the special helmet early."

She sat up, catching the ball as it came down. Something about how effortlessly she caught it was kinda hot. I raised an eyebrow at her.

"I want to see the helmet."

I snorted and Max rolled his eyes, taking the seat from me as he went back to editing. I walked over to my bag, knowing that it was one of the only things in it. Riley was practically bouncing with excitement as I took the helmet box over to her. I held it out and she took it like she would break it if she even dared to touch the thing. But as she set it on the bed next to her, I made my way over to sit next to her.
