Chapter 33

[March 1st 1946]

"D-dad? Can we go home now?" Octavia asks, nervously holding her dad's hand as he leads her around the Looloo land. After King Lucifer announced the date of the opening for LuLu world, Mammon took this as an opportunity to copy his idea of making an amusement park after the obvious success of it and hurriedly opens LooLoo land a few days after the opening of LuLu world despite the fact that it was built in a rush.

She held onto the edge of her dad's hand tightly when a mascot approached them and started to try and 'entertain' her. Needless to say that she was not in anyway entertained by it.

"Nonsense Octavia! The fun has just started~" Stolas reassures his daughter as he looks around giddily before his eye caught a familiar imp dressed in a clown suit going inside one of the tents. "besides, we haven't even watched the show yet! Come along dear~" He says excitedly as he ushers Octavia into the show tent.

Blitzø has his arms crossed around his chest, leaning against a balloon and popcorn cart while glaring daggers into a robot fizzaroli. He huffs irritatingly when the robot discreetly flips him off when the children all cheered while he performs on stage.

"Fuckin' robo dick." Blitzø mutters under his breath until he notices one kid pushing her way out of the crowd of cheering demon children. The kid looks like an owl demon, which Blitzø could only think might probably be one of the poncy royal kids. Though, he might just be wrong and she might not even be a Goetia's kid. He doesn't think the bird family full of stuck up, rich, pompous asses would even take their kids to these kinds of places anyway.... Oh wait, he may have known one of those assholes who might actually do just that.

While Octavia was trying to get out of the crowd, one of the kids beside her pushes her back in with the other kids. "No! Let me out! I-i just want to go home!" She shouts while tears are still streaking from her face.  "Awww what's wrong princess? Think you're too good to watch this show?" The kids from both her sides took a hold of her arms in a tight grip and started to push her to the very front of the stage.

Blitzø felt like he should probably help that kid. But at the same time, it wouldn't hurt for a kid like that to learn a thing or two about how things are around here.

He watches as the other kids kept on pushing her forward infront of the robo fizz. At first he figured that she'd probably like robo fizz as much as all the other kids do, but then she started bawling her eyes out.

"Huh, guess not all kids love this robo fizz junk after all..." He takes a step forward, hesitating a bit, wondering if he should really try to help the kid out.

"D-D-Daddy!!!" Yep- that should do it.

Blitzø slaps a hand on his face as he groans, "Haaaaa....... Fuck- i'm definitely gonna regret this later aren't I? Screw it!" Puffing up his chest, he marches towards the crowd full of kids and inhales deeply. "MOVE IT YOU LITTLE BRATS!" He yells as he pushes through the crowd, trying hard not to push too hard since he didn't want to end up in jail again if he accidentally kills one of the hellborn kids.

Once he was right behind the owl kid, he plucks her out of the crowd, earning a surprised squeak from her when he carries her. Surprisingly, she didn't screech at him to put her down, instead she decided to hold onto him with her arms wrapped tightly around his neck as he tries to take her out of the rowdy crowd of kids.

After a few minutes of him stumbling and trying to be careful not to drop her. They finally made it out of the crowd with his clown make up almost entirely gone from his face and his clown suit drenching wet from all the sweat he had to endure. Though, most of the wet part was on his shoulder, where the owl kid had burried her face in which had already accumulated a good amount of snot and tears much to blitzø' dismay of having to probably pay to get it cleaned later.

He takes a deep breath and sighs before he tries to detangle the kid's arms from him.

When that doesn't seem to work he began to get worried that the kid might've actually gotten traumatised from what just happened to her. "A-alright kid, fun's over.... you can let go of me now." He says hoping to get a reply, and to his relief she shook her head on his shoulder.

"Oh for... Pete's sake." He says before looking around to see if he can find anything that would convince her to let him go.

His eyes landed on his balloon cart which gave him the perfect idea.

Hearing the sound of balloons squeaking Octavia curiously peeked her head from blitzø's shoulder, just in time to see a balloon shaped owl offered in front of her. "Here kid, it's on the house." He says when she looks at him for confirmation if it really was being given to her. Carefully, she took the balloon from him, giggling at how much it actually does resemble her with the colors but only like an animal owl shaped.

"Thank you mister...."

"Blitzo, but you should call me blitzø cause the O is silent." He says hurriedly when he saw the kid's eyes practicaly twinkling.

Octavia giggles at the faces he's making, "Alright then, My name is Octavia. It's nice to meet you mister Blitzo!" She says happily ignoring the way the imp cringes at the name.

"It's... you know what? Forget it kid." Well, he should've seen that coming. Kids do tend to do or say things you don't want them to say after all.

She made happy chirps when he didn't bother to correct her.

Blitzø couldn't help but smile at her unconsciously when she kept on nuzzling at the balloon owl carefully until she saw that the crowd of kids are already moving out of the tent.

"Huh, welp- the show's over now so why don't you go on and head back to your parents?" He says as he tries to put her down but her grip on him only tightens.

"B-but I don't know where my daddy is!" She says, her eyes gleaming with unshed tears at realizing that she doesn't know how to find her daddy or get back home for that matter.

"Well, what about your mommy then?" He asks only to regret it when her eyes started to water as she shook her head.

Blitzø lets out a long suffering sigh at the realization that yep, he did come to regret helping this kid out of that crowd. Oh well, he might just have to go and finish what he started. "Haaa.... alright kid, i'll take you to your daddy..." Octavia practically beamed at him.

"But you better not get into any trouble again the next time you come here capiche?" He tried to look threatening but it didn't seem to work since she only kept looking at him with a big smile on her face.

"I promise I won't mister Blitzo!" She exclaims, happily going along with the imp that helped her.

He readjusts his hold on her when he went and opened up the tent. Immediately, he looked around to see all of the adults that could look like a royal.

It didn't take him long to see a very tall, familiar looking owl prince looking around at the children who are coming out of the tent. He looks like he's getting even more worried the longer he hasn't seen his daughter amidst the crowd of children.

As they came out of the tent, the tall owl prince turned his head towards them. As soon as he spotted his daughter, he quickly rushed to her and plucked her out of Blitzø's arms, thanking him profusely without actually looking at him which only made Blitzø feel irritated, already assuming that the prince was ignoring him because he was an imp but in actuality he was too focused on his daughter to pay attention to him.

"Did you enjoy the show Octavia? I bet it must've been really fun with all the ruckus those children were making." Octavia scrunches her face up at the reminder of what those kids did but quickly shoved that memory aside in favour of introducing her dad to mister Blitzo.

"I-it was okay i guess..... B-but dad, there's someone here i want you to meet!" When she turned to look at mister Blitzo who was already walking back towards the tent

"But...." She trails off in confusion, wondering why mister Blitzo had left so hurriedly.

"Now now Octavia, we shouldn't be bothering the circus imp. He's still working, and besides, his boss surely isn't paying him to talk to us so we mustn't bother him while he's busy." Stolas says as he holds his daughter close, only for her balloon owl to reach his beak and pop at the contact at the sharpness of it.

Stolas froze, his eyes widening when his daughter's stunned look morphed into a full out wail.
