When I returned to my dorm, I immediately collapsed on top of my bed, today's events and training having exhausted me to the core. The boys poked fun at me for a bit, while I could only grumble back some dumb insults before they shifted the topic away from me and onto Isagi.

I listened to their relentless teasing and playful bullying before falling asleep, and I could only think of how typical it was for them to do such things.

When I woke up, I was almost immediately filled with energy and life. I jumped out of bed, rushing past the other boy's who were tired and groggy from just having woken up. I quickly washed up in the bathroom, where Gagamaru stood, brushing his teeth and looking as unbothered as ever. We exchanged good mornings, and I was off to eat breakfast.

Maybe I was getting my hopes up too much, but I prayed that Sae had come earlier than usual as I walked down the hallway towards Ego's office. My friends were quite confused at my urgency today, while some others understood (Raichi and Isagi) because they had witnessed Noa telling me that I had one last chance before getting benched. The boys generally didn't bother me too much, which I also appreciated.

I stopped in front of the door to Ego's office, chanting a few prayers in my head, and before I could step closer, the doors had opened by their own, and I was surprised to see Ego standing in front of me, with his phone in one hand.

"You're here already?" He asked.

"Is that a problem? I was hoping that Sae came early... I guess I got ahead of myself, huh." I smiled awkwardly, moving to rub the back of my head.

Ego sighed, and shook his head before lowering himself to my height. "No matter what you do today, make sure he does not find out about your gender. I'm not doing this to scare you, but Sae will not be as kind and considerate as your other friends have been in reaction to finding out the truth." He whispered in my ear, before stepping back. "I'm telling you this because of the dumb deal you made yesterday. I'm serious. Don't let anything slip. You're very clumsy."

I nodded, before stepping aside and looking behind Ego to see Sae standing a few feet away from us, his hands crossed over his chest as he stared back at me with his usually deadpan face. My eyes lit up almost immediately, and I rushed over to him, not missing the sigh Ego let out as he watched me walk inside.

"Sae! You really came!" I gushed, smiling widely while he rolled his eyes in annoyance before heading towards the door.

"I was forced to cancel everything I had planned for today, so we will make this worthwhile. Come here." He responded, and I walked after him.

"You did? I'm so sorry! I should've been more considerate, but it was really urgent this time. Sorry..." I apologized, feeling the guilt pulling at my heart. "But umm... thank you for coming nonetheless. I don't know what I'd do if you didn't."

"That doesn't matter anymore. You will not be thanking me by the time I'll be done with you today."

I blinked, confused by his words, but I stayed quiet after that. We now had to worry about making sure that no one saw Sae, because neither of us felt like dealing with rumors spreading about his involvement with me, and he especially didn't want the public to find anything out. Seems like it's so tiring to be well known throughout the entire country.... That'll soon be me though, if the upcoming match goes well.
