It started with a lie
A lie that helps in comforting you
A lie so strong, so fresh and new
A lie that deceives
that everbody believes
A lie that spells i love you
A lie once spoke to fulfill my need
To keep you hooked so i can feed
A lie so strong
Never felt wrong
A lie that was programmed to mislead
A lie that increased your expectation
When unmet i offer no explanation
A lie that lies
To all ifs and whys
Still manages to offer some consolation
A lie i said to myself too
That the words i said were never true
Maybe you knew
I really loved you
Somewhere you made the lie come true
