Lisa McCarthy entered the room with confidence, her bright smile to her exceptional bedside manner.
"Hi, I'm Lisa," she said, her voice warm and professional.
Dean's eyes locked onto hers, his thoughts scattering.
"We better get going to they can check him." The captain announced as they all left .
Lisa efficiently reviewed his charts, "Blood pressure's fine, injuries healing. You're cleared." She smiled.
Dean remained stunned, his mind a daze.
"What is she doing here?"
Lisa's exit left Dean bewildered with my questions swimming in his mind.
The next day, Dean's discharge brought a mix of emotions. A part of him longed to reconnect with Lisa, but he hesitated.
Micheal's invitation.
"Drinks tonight?""No."
Micheal turned to Natalie,"Why so straightforward?"
Natalie shrugged,"Dunno." She added, "Got to go. I have an upcoming date."
Natalie dashed.
Michael's jaw dropped, "A WHAT?!"
Dean hailed a cab, advising,"Tell her soon, before it's too late."
Michael pondered Dean's words.
Meanwhile, in the hospital, Nurse Alice gushed,
"That firefighter patient... so attractive."Lisa's eyes sparkled, "I feel like this wasn't the first time I've met him."
Alice's expression turned serious,"How's things with your boyfriend?"
Lisa's hesitant reply,"Good."
"I'm so happy for you, Lisa! You must be happy to have him."
Lisa's forced smile concealed her turmoil.
Alice departed, leaving Lisa lost in thought.
Dean sat in his apartment, his mind reeling from the unexpected encounter with Lisa at the hospital. The memory of her haunted him, stirring emotions.
Happiness, anger, and sadness swirled inside him, leaving him disoriented and unsure how to react.
"She can see now," he thought, his eyes drifting toward the window.
Outside, the sky transformed into a celestial canvas, its darkness embroidered with twinkling stars. The city's vibrant lights danced across the horizon, a breathtaking contrast that seemed to please the moon.
As night descended, Dean's thoughts remained trapped in the past, reliving moments shared with Lisa. Their connection, once strong, had frayed like the fading light of day.
His heart heavy with nostalgia, Dean wondered,"What if?"
"What if their paths hadn't diverged? What if Lisa had recognized him?"
As she walked through the front door, exhaustion on her face, Lisa expected solace in the comfort of her own home.
But instead, the night had other plans.
The faint moans and giggles drifting from the bedroom froze her in her tracks. Her heart and her mind raced.
She approached the room, each step heavy with curiousity. The door creaked open, revealing a scene.
