Third Person's POV
It was finally race day. Louise and the group gathered in their designated tent, where they prepped for the event. They had spent the past two days practicing, familiarizing themselves with the track, and mentally preparing for the competition. Now, with just a couple of hours left before the race, they were all filled with a mix of nerves and excitement.
The tent was buzzing with chatter, everyone doing last-minute checks on their gear and teasing one another. Kai was lounging back, a smug grin on his face as he looked around.
"Baka matalo kayo ah, hindi kasi ako nakasali sa list eh." Kai teased, crossing his arms.
Everyone laughed, and Jhoanna was quick to chime in. "Sabihin mo lang ng sabihin 'yan, Kai." she teased back, rolling her eyes playfully. "Baka bago pa mag start, nasa hulihan kana agad."
Kai scoffed, raising his hands in surrender. "Hindi uso sakin 'yan 'no. Magiging generous lang muna ako ngayon para magka moment sila."
"Panghe mo!" Javi shouted and laughed along with the group.
Louise shook her head, a small smile tugging at her lips as she watched them go back and forth. These were the moments she cherished most—the playful banter that kept them all grounded. Sitting next to Stacey, Louise felt a gentle comfort. Stacey was polishing her helmet, a look of focus on her face, as Aiah sat nearby, adding her own comments to the group's teasing.
Louise, feeling a bit more relaxed, leaned her head on Stacey's shoulder, savoring the quiet support they shared. Stacey glanced over, a soft smile spreading on her face as she continued working on her helmet. Mikha quickly pulled out her phone, snapping a picture of the two.
"Got it! You two look perfect." Mikha grinned, winking at Louise.
Aiah leaned over, smirking at the photo. "You guys are basically the star couple of this event. Better make sure no one else steals the spotlight."
Just then, a familiar voice filled the tent from the speaker system, capturing everyone's attention. They turned their heads towards the large TV screen set up in the corner, where Chie Filomeno was standing with a mic, addressing the crowd. Dressed elegantly and exuding confidence, she spoke with a bright smile, her voice carrying through the speakers.
"Good luck to all the racers today! It's an exciting day, so let's make sure everyone stays safe out there." Chie said, scanning the audience before adding with a smirk.
"And a special good luck to my childhood friend, Louise Razon—I'll see you out there."
Louise's face lit up, a warm smile spreading across her lips. It felt good to know that Chie still remembered her, even after all this time. The rest of the group let out a collective "aww." and Colet raised an eyebrow, smirking as she nudged Louise.
"Akala ko nakalimutan ka na n'ya nang tuluyan eh." Colet teased.
Louise rolled her eyes, still smiling. "She just likes the attention." she replied, though there was a fondness in her tone.
The camera shifted to the audience, zooming in on a familiar face. Cyan Klein, Louise's cousin, appeared on the screen, her striking features drawing immediate attention. As the camera panned over her, the crowd erupted with cheers, particularly from her fans who had come all the way from New Zealand. Cyan waved at the camera, her confident smile lighting up the screen, and she looked every bit like the racing champion she was.
