Louise's POV

As we delved into the discussion about the house, Ms. Ocampo began outlining her expectations for the project. Her tone was firm but enthusiastic as she spoke about the purpose and functionality of the house, the design style she envisioned, and a list of specific features she wanted to be incorporated. Everyone listened attentively, including Javi, who was jotting down notes.

While Ms. Ocampo spoke, I felt Aiah's fingers playing idly with mine under the table. Her touch was soothing, grounding me in the moment despite the tension I felt from Stacey's occasional glances. I ignored them and kept my focus, nodding thoughtfully as Ms. Ocampo detailed her vision.

Once she finished, Stacey took the lead. She stood confidently, presenting a set of design concepts, layouts, and drawings. Her voice was steady, her explanations concise yet thorough. As she flipped through her sketches, I couldn't help but feel impressed. The level of detail and creativity in her designs was remarkable.

Ms. Ocampo was clearly pleased as well. "You've captured the essence of what I wanted." She said, nodding approvingly. "This is exactly the style I envisioned."

When Stacey finished, I leaned forward slightly to address the group. "While the designs are excellent, I'd like to go over the materials we'll be using to ensure everything is structurally sound." I said, keeping my tone professional.

Ms. Ocampo chimed in with her preferences, and we discussed options that would balance aesthetics with durability. Javi continued to take notes while Callie, Stacey's assistant, diligently typed on her tablet.

"The site is prepped and ready for inspection." Ms. Ocampo said. "I suggest we visit it after we finalize these points. It'll give us a clearer idea of how everything will come together."

We all agreed, but before heading out, we briefly discussed the projected costs. Once everything was settled, we stood up to leave.

As we walked out of the restaurant, Aiah's phone rang. She answered it quickly, her voice soft and calm as she spoke. When she hung up, she glanced at her watch before turning to me.

"My team needs me to check on the product and designs." she said apologetically. "But I can cancel if you want me to come with you to the site."

"Ai, it’s fine." I assured her, giving her a small smile. "Javi's here with me. Thanks for coming this far."

"But—" she started, her voice laced with concern.

I cut her off by pulling her into a hug. "I'll be fine. This is just work."

She sighed and wrapped her arms around me briefly. "Okay." she said softly, her lips brushing my cheek in a gentle kiss. "Take care, bub, okay? And you too, Javi."

Javi grinned and saluted her jokingly. "'Wag kang mag alala, kaya na namin 'to."

Aiah nodded and flagged down a cab, giving me one last smile before stepping inside and waving as it drove away.

As I turned back toward the group, I noticed Callie standing nearby with Stacey. "Your girlfriend?" Callie asked, her tone curious but friendly.

Before I could answer, Javi chuckled loudly. Clearly enjoying my brief moment of fluster.

I was about to glare at him when Ms. Ocampo emerged from the restaurant with one of her staff. "Shall we go?" she asked, her tone brisk and businesslike.
