37- You'll Be Alright, Kid

LANDO POV

I was angry at her dad, he had to face the consequences for once. My dad built his life and his family, from the ground up and never gave up on us, he doesn't deserve someone like her dad at his company.

I could see a bruise forming on her face, the car ride was quiet, well the inside was, I forget it's a Brabus. We were there in no time flat. Mum was at the door, confused as to who it was I would be too. I got Lucy out and made introductions. "Sorry to spring it on you mum." She looked at me, "Lando Norris, you know to never apologise for coming to see us, especially bringing the boys and your lovely young lady." Mum took Lucy inside.

We followed, "Why you boys dressed all fancy?" Mum asked putting the kettle on. "Funeral Cisca, Lucy's mum passed away." George said. Mum gave her a hug, "Oh my love, I'm sorry for your loss. What food do you like? I'm cooking for you all." She kept looking at the bruise on Lucy's face, "Spaghetti Bolognese is her favourite mum." I tilted my head, to signal I'd tell her later. "Perfect, that's one of my favourites too." She started getting ingredients. "Is dad home?" "Yes, he's in the office." I grabbed Lucy's hand and walked her to my dad's office. I whispered for Carlos to tell mum, about what happened.

"You okay, princess?" She was looking pale. "Yeah, just weird seeing happy families." "I get that darling, if it gets too much you just tell me." She smiled. I knocked on the door. "Come in!" We walked in, "Lando! What a surprise, and who's this lovely lady?" "Dad, this is my girlfriend Lucy, Lucy, this is my dad." He shook her hand. "Lovely to meet you, Mr Norris." Dad laughed. "Please, it's Adam and Cisca." Lucy smiled. He ushered us to sit. "Dad, we need to talk to you about something." His face got serious. "Anything, my boy." Lucy straightened her dress. I explained everything to him, the funeral, her dad being a creep, him hitting her and him using my dad's name. "What did you say his name was?" "Michael Mooney." Lucy said. "Ah, yes I know him, he recently got a wage for his partner dying to cover bills, but as they were no longer in a relationship, he lied. He will be fired immediately and will be held responsible for paying back all the extra that he got." Dad made a note on his folder. "Lucy, if there is anything we can do for you, please, let us know and I'm sure you've heard a lot of condolences, but please don't take me not saying it as anything bad, I just don't want to burden you further."

I was so happy to see my parents taking a liking, the most important people to me, under one roof. "Thank you Mr No- erm Adam, I really appreciate your offer." Dad smiled, he stood up and gave us both a hug and we walked back to see mum in the kitchen. "How long you all staying for then?" Dad asked grabbing a bread roll. "Just until tonight, we need to travel back tomorrow, got plans for Saturday." I exchanged a look with the boys. "Am I missing something?" Lucy asked. "Nothing, Princess." I kissed her head. "Awe Lando, you both look so good together." Mum looked like she was going to cry. "Right, boys go set the table." Mum said. "Why can't Lucy? You made us the first time you met me." George said. "George Russell, are you refusing to help ladies in need?" Mum gave her look. "No Cisca, sorry." I laughed. Mum was one of them, that was a mum to everybody.

We set the table and mum and Lucy brought the food in, I pulled Lucy's seat out and got her to sit. "This is lovely Cisca, thank you." Lucy said. "It's no problem my dear, it's been a long day for you all." We all ate and just caught up on life, mum and dad basically banned us from leaving, so we were all spending the night here. We cleaned up and watched a film, Lucy borrowed some of Flo's clothes, seen as our bags were at George's.

We said our good nights, mum and dad wanted a word, so George showed Lucy to my room. "Lando, she's amazing." Mum said, causing me to blush. "I know, she's brilliant mum, she wants for nothing, I try get her things and she refuses, she wants to make her own way in life, everything I admire." I beamed. "She sounds like your mum, she never wanted anything to do with my money either." Dad said. "Lando, what are these plans you're not telling her about?" Mum looked concerned. "Nothing like that mum, it's her birthday Saturday, she doesn't think we know, Max and the others are currently buying decorations and presents and things, we're gonna put them up through tomorrow night while she sleeps. We're getting the latest flight tomorrow so when we get back, she sleeps through Saturday." Mum smiled. "She must have a special place in all your hearts." "She really does mum." "Well, please send us her address so we can send some things over." My dad was the best, "Of course, dad. I'll send you a list of things she likes too." "That's my boy."

I kisses them goodnight and went to join Lucy, she was already asleep. I climbed in next to her and just slept.

I woke up and Lucy wasn't there. I was getting ready to message her, when I heard giggling at the door, I opened it, it was Lucy and Flo. "I like her Lando." Flo smiled, "Me too." "Bye, Flo. Sorry babe, I needed some new clothes and a shower and bumped into her, she's lovely." I kissed her head. "She is, I'm very lucky to have such a great family."

We went downstairs and mum had made breakfast for before we left, I was just happy to see Lucy eating. Everyone gave us a hug and Lucy drove us back to George's.

When we got back, we just sat and watched movies until it was time to get on the plane. I sent mum and dad the list they wanted and her address. "I'm so sad I have to leave my car, I only just got it back." Lucy said. "Lucy, you have the exact same one in Monaco." She smiled. "Oh, yeah." She really made me laugh sometimes. After a few films, we all packed and got ready to head to the airport. Carlos, had a rental car so we jumped in with him. I told Max we were on our way and mum and dad said the presents were loaded onto the plane already. I gave Lucy a new book, to make sure she stayed awake for the whole flight.
