Changes ( Part 2 )

After that conversation with gon, killua didn't have the courage to talk with gon.

That day, when killua ran into the restroom, he locked himself on it. When he wasn't coming, everyone started to worry for him. Leorio went to the restroom but found the door was locked from inside.

So he called Kurapika, and together, the break down the restroom door. When they look inside, they find killua was on the floor unconscious. His full face was red. When Leorio tried to pull him up, he realised killua was burning. He had a sudden high fever, and it was worse.

They admitted killua in the hospital. Doctors said to keep killua in the same room with gon, but Kurapika and Leorio insisted not to.

Times went by......

One day, two days, three days, and by that one week went through, but though killua was still unconscious.

Gon was out from the turm of treatment. He was fine and his wound, too. Kurapika told gon not to stay near killua, but he didn't listen. At last, Kurapika gave up.

Gon was alone with killua that night. It was the 9th day from killua's unconsciousness.

It was 8:30 pm in the night, almost at the end of the visiting hour. Gon was sitting on the cheir near killua's bed.

" Hey, killua, "

Gon speaked up, but no response came from killua. It's obvious cause he was unconscious after all. Gon started to crack.

" Killua, I- I- I " gon voice cracked. The tears were rolling down from his cheeks.

" I- I'm sorry, k-killua," gon cried out.

" I didn't w-wanted to do this, "

Kurapika was entering the room but stopped in his track when I heard gon's words. He got pissed. He slammed the door open and angrily walked towards gon. He grabbed gon by the collar and shouted.

" First, you hurted him, and now, you are apologizing. What is the problem with you gon? If you care about him so much, then why are you repeating your mistakes again and again. " Kurapika shouted, and gon looked in his face, wide eyes.

" So you read my diary," gon said and sighed.

" Yes, I did. Do you have any problem? " Kurapika hissed.

Gon cracked more.

" I don't know. I don't want any of these. But I can't help it. I'm slowly drowning into the darkness, but I can't swim through it. I just felt so damn fucked up, I can't explain how much I hate myself " gon whispered in a low voice.

" That day, I didn't intend to hurt killua. I wanted to apologise to him but I don't know what got into me then. "

Kurapika sighed.

" Listen gon, It's okay. I can understand your condition. But you know, I listen everything from his sister. You don't know how much fragile he had become in these few years. Talk a bit loud, and he would break, yell at him, and he would break. We were lucky that he didn't try to kill himself like when we saw him about to slash his neck, and I know he will become overprotective towards you again. So if you wanted him by your side, then watch your words. We were lucky this time, but that doesn't mean we will always be lucky. " Kurapika said, and gon nodded.

" If someone can help me, it's killua. If someone can drag me out from the darkness, it's killua. I know it's selfish for me to say, but only killua can help me, " gon speaked up.

" Well, if you trust me, then can you give me some lonesome time with him?" gon hands were trembling, his voice was cracky like he was about to burst out cry. Kurapika understood and left the room.

In the next 2 days, killua woke up, but when killua opened his eyes, he found himself in gon's arms. Killua enjoyed it. He knew gon can never hurt him, so he knew what his duty was, to make gon normal.

For the next few days, they stayed in mito's house, at least for one week. Mito wanted to spend time with gon, that's why.

Not like gon was in a good mood for everyone. He was the same gon, the same cold, cheerless, dull, but his inner wall was broken just for killua.

After that hospital day, gon tried his best not to say something that hurt killua. He did hurt killua sometimes, but killua just didn't mind it.

And it was time for them to leave and went back to Yorknew.

" We booked 3 separate rooms for everyone. Kurapika and me in one, alluka in one. So for the last, killua and you are staying in the same room. " leorio announced and blinked at Kurapika. Kurapika also returned a hifi to leorio.

But gon argued.

" No way. I'm not staying in the same room with killua, " gon chirped.

It surely hurts killua a bit, but he just didn't mind now.

" There is no problem with killua, so why are you protesting it?" leorio suspiciously eyed gon.

" Because- be.... cause " gon's voice cracked.

" I don't want to hurt killua anymore, and I know, if I did stay with him in the same room, then I will hurt him more. " gon almost cried.

" So then it settled, you two are staying together," leorio said and handed killua their rooms key.

After that they all went to their own rooms.

While with killua, gon's mind was totally blank. He didn't know what to do, what to say. He didn't know how to start a conversation.

" So..... " killua started.

" Can you tell me why exactly you don't want to stay with me in the same room? " killua asked with a questioning face. But gon didn't say a word.

" You know, it hurt me more when you said you don't want to stay with me," killua admitted, with a casual funny face.

" If you don't want to hurt me, then just try it. I was really shocked when you said you thought we weren't best friends anymore. It doesn't matter how much time we were separated from each other or how much far away we are from each other, We are always best friends, forever, " killua said with a soft smile.

" Forever......"

" Yes, dummy, forever and ever "
