"Well it all started when I was really young. I had had a fairly happy childhood and I thought that, well you know, that I was human. My parents never told me any different so I figured that if I wasn't human they would let me know. Well, they didn't. They never told me or my four other siblings that we were most definitely not human. We had to find out the hard way." Leilani swallowed audibly as she thought back to that gruesome day. She would never forget all the bloodied bodies of her family around her. She would never forget their blood curdling screams.

"The day before the twins birthday, my oldest of us children, we were attacked by a pack nearby our land. They wanted to take us as slaves so that we can do whatever they asked of us. They wanted power. And us being moon children, direct decendants of the moon goddess, would have been able to give that to them. The wolves killed our parents and kidnapped us. The twins put up a tough fight and ended up dead. They took my two other brothers and me. They through us in a small cell in the darkness of their dungeon." Lani sighed and put her head in her hands as she kept going. She hated talking about this, but she would do it for the other half of her soul. He had been quiet so far, and she wondered what was going thought his mind. "The alpha was beyond mad when he realized that the power he said we had wouldn't come to us until we we're eighteen. Yes, we received little power over the years, but our complete powers didn't come until we turned eighteen. My brothers we're close to their eighteenth birthdays. Daniel was 16 and Chris was 13. The twins, Alexander and Michael, were 17. The alpha was mad that they had been killed. He was also mad that they had to wait for us to turn of age. So as a payment for their patience, as he put it, they tortured us everyday. They would do it in front of each of us so that we could see them being harmed and listen to their screams. The worst part was having to see the shame on my brothers faces as the guards had their way with me. I would try to get them to realize that it wasn't their fault, but they wouldn't listen to me. They would just sit there and cry, or slam their heads against the wall." Leilani closed her eyes tightly, willing herself to be strong and not breakdown. "I would rock myself to sleep listening to my brothers' voices, which was the only comfort I had. Then one day I woke up only to realize that they had killed themselves over night. The had slammed there heads so hard on the wall that their skulls split open. I remember the...the blood. So much blood. It got worst after that. The guards stopped feeding me and beat me more. Even the alpha beat me when he found out about my brothers.

A few years passed in the same way before my Tio Nico found me. He killed the people from that pack, soaring those who had no knowledge about the situation. He hardly recognized me when he saw me, but he knew it was me. He could tell because of my eyes. He took me to a secluded place in the mountains and made me all better. He taught me a lot of things too.

I also found out that the men and women you wolves call your high council answer to me. It was a little overwhelming at first, but I get to help people so it's all good." Leilani ran a hand through her hair before looking up at Liam. His face was blank and his hands we're fisted on top of the granite kitchen bar.

"How old were you when this all happened? When you were kidnapped?" He asked. She could tell his wolf was close to the surface because of how gravelly his voice sounded and the golden color of his eyes. She looked down, not wanting to answer the question. She knew he would get even more mad.

"Answer me." He growled and she flinched at the anger in his voice.

"Three, I was three." She whispered as her tears finally started falling. The next thing she knew he was holding her in his arms. He rocked her as he whispered softly into her ear.

"I promise that I won't let anyone hurt you ever again. I'll protect you. I'll love you and cherish you. I'll keep you safe." He would've kept on talking, saying things that Leilani already knew to be true, but she stopped him with a kiss.

The kiss was sweet and gentle. Liam cupped her face gently in his hand as his other arm snakes around her waist. He brought her closer to him and deepened the kiss. A moan escaped her mouth and she tangled her fingers in his hair, tugging lightly and earning a growl in response. Leilani wrapped her legs around his waist and she could feel his excitement against her inner thigh.

She started grinding her hips against him and they both moaned. Liam pulled away, as he leaned his forehead against hers. They tried to catch their breaths as they held each other.

"Mark me, Liam. Claim me." She whispers. He looks into her eyes, searching for something.

"Are you sure?" He asks as he cups her face in his hands. This would be going way to fast for humans, but in the supernatural world this was normal.

"Yes." She answers honestly. She had waited too long for the other half of her soul and she wasn't about to let him go. Liam laughed happily before picking her up and heading upstairs to her bedroom. She was so happy with life right now.
