Save Me

Chapter 7

Liam walked into Nico's house, he stood tall and angry as his alpha powers surrounded him like some sort of magical force. Nico looked afraid for his daughter as he stood from the table to stand behind her. She would've run if it weren't for his hold on her shoulders. Karmen, Nico's wife and Tatiana's mother, walked in from the kitchen and stopped as she noticed Liam.

"I do not take so well to people treating my mate the way you did. Especially in the condition she's in right now." His voice boomed around them and Tatiana cringed. Good.

"Please, Alpha, have mercy on our daughter." Karmen whispered with tears in her eyes.

"It's because of Leilani that I am taking mercy on your daughter, Karmen. She wouldn't want her to suffer for her stupidity in any hurtful way. But heed my warning," he turned to Tatiana with a sneer on his face and a growl rumbling in his chest. "if you so much go near my Leilani in the future, and hurt her, I will rip your head off."

Tatiana gasped, clearly shocked at Liam's exclaim. It might seem a bit excessive to some, but it was the way of wolves to be this cruel when their mates came to harm. Liam turned away from them and stalked out of the house and back to his car.

When he got to the pack house, he found Leilani in his small studio. She had music blaring as she sat in front of a large canvas and painted. She looked so at peace right now. She had a concentrated look on her face as she twirled the brush in paint then against the canvas. She was wearing one of his old T-shirts, and some shorts. Her hair was up in a messy bun. She looked damn sexy too, especially with the way the light coming through the windows was hitting her. He needed a picture of this.

Liam rushed upstairs to his room, got his camera, and hurried down. He smiled and snapped several pictures as he walked into the room and around Leilani. When she spotted him, she looked up and her face lit up completely. Liam snapped a picture of her as a small smile played on her lips.

"You, my love, are supposed to be resting." Liam chastised. He set his camera down and went to her. He picked her up, sat down and set her on his lap. Leilani smiled and placed a kiss against his jaw. He was really glad that she was feeling better.

"I couldn't sleep. You left." She accused.

"Sorry, love, I had to take care of some business." She nodded, accepting his lie, and snuggled closer to him. He looked at the canvas and smiled at the wolf painting she had going. The male wolf was standing protectively over the female and his pup. The sky was dark, the moon out and bright, and they were laying on tall grass in some sort of clearing. It was amazing even if it wasn't finished yet.

"Can we go out today?" Leilani asked as she sat up and looked at Liam.

"Of course, babe. Where did you have in mind?" Liam loved the way she scrunched her nose and bit her lip as she thought. It was so adorable.

"How about we go to the lake before it starts getting cold?" He nodded in agreement and leaned into her to place a tender kiss against her lips. Lani smiled her secret smile that drove him insane before getting off his lap and walking away. She stopped at the doorway and turned to look at him.

"What's wrong baby?" Liam asked, concerned.

"Aren't you coming with me? I might need help." He smirked as her cheeks turned a bright red. She always did that when she mentioned or thought about them intimately. Liam loved that she was so innocent yet so passionate. He stood up and walked with her upstairs to their room after closing and locking his studio.

Once they reached their room Liam ushered Leilani in and locked the door behind them. Lani threw her arms around his neck and kissed him urgently. Liam growled into her mouth as he pulled away to pull his tshirt off of her. She quickly took off the rest of her clothing as he did the same with his. He took in her entire beauty, and she was definitely very beautiful. With her rounded belly that carried his child. He walked towards her and laid her gently on the bed as he hovered over her, careful not to put his weight on her. She stared up at him with so much love in her eyes.
