Lani was laughing so much that tears were streaming down her cheeks. She clutched at her belly as she tried to calm her breathing.

"He didn't!" She exclaimed, but the people around her nodded.

"He did, and when our parents found him they were so mad." Jaclyn said smiling at a red faced Liam.

"Hey, in my defense, I was a little kid. Little kids always believe that the impossible is possible. Even flying." He said. Leilani could feel the happiness radiating off of him even if he was embarrassed.

"You're crazy." Lani laughed as she rested her hand against his cheek. He leaned into her hand and smiled at her.

"Only for you, babe." Liam leaned forward until his lips were inches away from Lani's. Lani smiled and closed the space between them. Their lips met and started to move in sync. Lani twisted her fingers in Liam's hair and tugged lightly. He growled and bit her bottom lip, causing her to groan.

"Gross! Guys get a room! Leilani stop kissing my brother like that!" Jaclyn exclaimed, bringing them out of their little world. Liam chuckled and pulled away from Lani. He kissed her lips softly once more before pulling away completely.

"Little sister of mine, you shouldn't be saying anything since I have to see you making out with Alex all the time. In my home." Jaclyn turned a deep red and buried her face in Alex's neck. Alex laughed and patted her shoulder soothingly.

The bell rang, telling everyone that lunch was over. Lani hadn't eaten everything she had gotten, but Liam made sure no food went to waste. Liam threw away their trash before grabbing her hand and walking them to class.

Lani was liking school, since she had never been, she was enjoying it very much. Even when the teacher called her attention for staring at Liam several times.

After school everyone rushed out happily. Lani was at her locker with Liam and members of the pack when someone tapped her shoulder. She turned at yelled in delight when she saw her cousin, Miguel Delia. He was her Uncle Nico's son, the brother of her cousin Tatiana, who was still sick.

"Miguel! It's so nice to see you!" She exclaimed and threw her arms around him. She immediately let him go when she heard Liam growl loudly behind her. She turned to look at him and put her hands on his face. His eyes we're pitch black and his body was shaking. His wolf was about to come out. She tried to remember his wolf's name, but she couldn't. Lani went into Liam's mind.

"Fang!" She exclaimed when she found what she was looking for. He looked at her, then turned his attention back to Miguel, his prey. Miguel had put his hands up and bared his neck to show he meant no harm. Not that it would stop Fang.

"Fang! Look at me. That's my cousin Miguel. He's not going to take me from you. I'm yours and only yours. Please." She pleaded and he turned to look at her. His angry glare softened when he saw her distressed expression.

"My love, I did not mean to cause you any distress. I just did not like the way you reacted to that mutt." He sneered the last word at Miguel. "Please forgive me, little moon child."

"I couldn't be mad at you, but Miguel is family. I need my family." Lani whispered softly at Fang.

"I know, beautiful. I know."

"Could you let me speak to Liam now?" His eye darkened, and he smiled mischievously.

"Very well, but I'll be back tonight. I need to be with you." Jeez, he sounded like an old man with how he spoke. "I can hear you." He chuckled.

"Shut up, I look forward to tonight." She whispered as she pecked his lips. He growled before he closed his eyes, and when he opened them, Liam was back.

"Umm...he is kind of like an old man isn't he?" Lani burst out laughing when Fang growled in their heads.

"Leilani," Miguel said and she turned to look at him. "I have to go, but Dad wants to know if you'll come over later? Mom's making enchiladas."

"Yes. Ahh, Tia Karmen really knows how to make enchiladas! Can Liam come with?" She felt Liam hum his approval at her question. Such a possessive, over-protective male.

"Of course." Miguel smiled. "See you guys later! Bye, Lani."

"So, we're gonna go to the pack house. You guys gonna come over later?" Samantha, Carter's mate, asked with a smile on her face. She was a really nice girl.

"No, after the visit to her family we'll be going to Lani's house. My phone will be on, but don't call unless it's an emergency. And Jaclyn, a spider in your shoe is not an emergency." Liam said the last part with an angry yet amused glare at his younger sister. She blushed and stuck her tongue out at him. After saying their goodbyes, everyone went their own way.

Lani had a lot of fun with her aunt, uncle, and cousins that afternoon. Everyone laughed, talked, and enjoyed the food. It made Lani feel normal and happy that she could be with loved ones again. She was surprised when her family didn't react to her and Liam being mates. And when Liam and Lani said their goodbyes, her aunt sent them home with food.

That evening she spent some time with Fang. He was indeed very possessive, but she didn't mind that. She loved him too. They had spent some time talking for a few hours before deciding too...umm...go to bed.
