Three weeks passed, and Arun finally recovered from his leg injury. Arunima's disappointment lingered, but Sathya's excitement grew as she stalked Sidharth during intervals.
The day Arun returned to school, Sathya dragged Arunima to the football ground.
"Come on, Arunima! Let's see Sidharth play," Sathya said, her eyes sparkling.
Arunima reluctantly agreed, still missing Arun.
"I don't know, Sathya. I'm not really in the mood," Arunima said.
Sathya encouraged, "It'll be fun! We haven't seen Sidharth play in weeks."
Arunima sighed but followed Sathya.
As they watched, Sidharth played impressively. Sathya enthusiastically cheered, while Arunima looked disappointed.
Suddenly, a boy got injured, and another player replaced him.
The crowd erupted in cheers: "Arun! Arun! Arun!"
Arunima's eyes widened as Arun entered the ground.
Sidharth welcomed him: "Bro, you're back!"
Arun replied, "I'm back with full power!"
Arunima's face lit up with excitement.
The game intensified, with Sidharth and Arun scoring goals.
The crowd chanted: "Sidh-Arun-Sidh-Arun!"
Sathya and Arunima beamed with joy as their team won.
As the bell rang, signaling the end of the interval, Arunima and Sathya hesitantly walked to class.
Sidharth noticed Arunima and whispered to Arun, "Bro, look! The girl on the left..."
Arun turned, and their eyes met.
Arunima's heart skipped a beat.
In class, they arrived late, and the teacher asked, "Why are you late?"
Sathya hesitated, "Miss, we were in the restroom."
The teacher raised an eyebrow.
Arunima added, "We, uh, had to freshen up."
The teacher welcomed them, and they sat, exchanging soft chuckles.
After school, they waited for their dads.
Arunima exclaimed, "Can you believe Arun's back?"
Sathya grinned. "And he's amazing on the field!"
Arunima blushed. "I know, right?"
Sathya teased, "You're totally smitten!"
Arunima giggled. "Shut up!"
Their dads arrived, and as they drove home, Arunima turned to Sathya.
"Today was incredible! Arun's return, Sidharth's smile..."
Sathya smiled. "And Arun's gaze locked on you!"
Arunima's heart fluttered.
Their friendship grew stronger, bound by shared secrets and crushes.
As they reached home, Sathya asked, "Want to study together tomorrow?"
Arunima agreed. "Definitely. I'll come to your place."
Their evening ended with laughter and excitement.
