Sathya and Arunima sat nervously in Sathya's room, staring at the phone.
"Come on, Sidharth, accept our request already!" Sathya exclaimed.
Arunima chuckled. "Patience, my friend. Good things take time."
Twenty minutes passed. Nothing.
Thirty minutes gone. Still nothing.
They started reading comic books to pass the time.
Sathya's mom called from the kitchen, "Sathya, Arunima, come eat!"
They reluctantly put down the comics and headed to the dining table.
Sathya's mom noticed their gloomy faces. "What happened, girls?"
Arunima quickly replied, "Nothing, Auntie."
Sathya's mom raised an eyebrow but didn't press further.
As they sat down to eat, the phone suddenly rang out with a notification.
Tinggg!
Sathya and Arunima exchanged excited glances.
They hastily finished lunch and grabbed the phone.
Racing to Sathya's room, Arunima opened Instagram.
And there it was – Sidharth had accepted Rahul's (Sathya's fake account) request!
Not only that, he had also requested to follow Rahul back!
They squealed in delight, jumping onto the bed.
"We did it! We did it!" Arunima shouted.
Sathya beamed. "He accepted us!"
They hugged each other, bouncing on the bed.
Finally, they calmed down and opened Sidharth's account.
Oh. My. God.
His profile was filled with gorgeous photos.
They chuckled and awed over his pictures.
Arunima suggested, "You should message him now."
Sathya hesitated. "I don't know... What if he thinks I'm weird?"
Arunima encouraged, "Come on, Sathya! You've come this far."
Sathya took a deep breath and typed: "Hi"
She sent the message and anxiously waited for his reply.
"What if he doesn't respond?" Sathya worried.
Arunima reassured, "He will. Just be patient."
The minutes ticked by.
Sathya's heart raced with anticipation.
