SURPRISE CHAPTER

dakota's pov

it's been a while since we went to the mountains,
like 5 months to be exact. chris and i have never been better. me, chris, kadie, matt, nick, and ashton are hanging out at an amusement park. the park chris and i went to on our first date.

it was a little bit breezy, but it felt nice. we were all walking around together, trying to find a good coaster to go on. it wasn't too crowded because it's the summer and a wednesday.

"how about that one?" nick suggests while pointing at a huge coaster.
"i'm down." i shrug.

i'm looking at the coaster and accidentally fall onto someone.

"AHH-" i squeal as i fell. "oh my gosh, i am so sorry !!" i apologize and get off him immediately, putting my hand out to help him up.

"it's alright." the blond male in front of me says. i look at the guy next to him, he has black hair. they're like opposites.

"i'm dakota, would you like to hang out with us?"
"sam," the blond male tells me, "and this is colby." he says, gesturing at the black haired male.

"and, sure, why not?" colby says. everyone else in the group introduces themselves to our new companions. we all go to the enormous coaster and got the first two rows. i'm in the very front with chris, kadie, and matt. while the others are sat behind us.

i look at all them, "you guys ready?" they all say yes. a few seconds later, the ride operators give a cool, short backstory and begin the ride.

chris clung to me like his life depended on it and i laughed the entire time. i hear everyone shrieking while i'm laughing. the ride ends and chris is still scared and clung to me like a koala.

i pat his head, "you okay, chrissy?" i ask.
he couldn't speak, he just nodded his head 'yes'.
i smile at him. we get off the ride and look at our picture.. i found my people.
