Unfortunately, when I woke up, I didn't find a pair of beautiful brown eyes looking back at me.
What a terrible start to the day.
I felt a wave of disappointment. Wasn't he supposed to be there beside me when I opened my eyes? Or was that just another fantasy spun by the novels I read? Why wasn't he as thrilled to wake up next to me as I was?
With a mix of motivation and frustration, I sluggishly made my way to the bathroom, all the while feeling a sharp pain between my legs.
As I stepped into the shower, I caught a glimpse of myself in the mirror and couldn't help but notice the wild tangles in my hair, remnants of last night's passionate adventures. My skin displayed the marks of our excitement-hickeys scattered like little badges of honor-and my eyes were rimmed with red from a sleepless night filled with delightful mischief.
As the water poured over me, I let it wash away the traces of the night...
After my shower, I wrapped myself in his towel and treated myself to some lotion before slipping into a cozy sweater that enveloped me completely...
Going without anything underneath felt just right; I thinking I wouldn't need any extra layers.
Why the fuck did i think that?
I made my way downstairs, instinctively heading toward the kitchen. When I arrived, I found him preparing breakfast.
"Come here, Jane! I made pancakes," he called out, opening his arms to guide me to my seat.
"You look amazing in my clothes," he teased, and I felt a blush rise to my cheeks.
"Yeah, yeah, whatever," I replied, trying to play it cool.
I attempted to ignore him as he spoke, hoping he would notice my irritation while I ate breakfast.
"Is something wrong?" he asked, but I continued to brush him off and got up from my seat once I finished eating. He followed me as I walked away, pulling me back and pinning me against a pillar.
"Answer me, Jane," he said, his voice still husky and incredibly alluring. In that moment, he was so captivating that my anger began to dissipate. What kind of effect did he have on me?
He always made me lose my calm whenever I was around him.
"I wasn't angry with you," I stuttered, prompting a laugh from him.
He let go of me and started to gently caress my face with his fingers.
"I'm sorry for leaving you alone this morning," he said, offering me a genuine smile and placing a kiss on my cheek.
"I had hoped to make you breakfast in bed, but things didn't turn out as I expected," he continued, which made me smile on the inside.
"I wasn't upset," I replied slowly.
"I just don't want to see you frown," he said, and I nodded in agreement. He then kissed my collarbone after carefully sliding my sweater off my shoulders.
"Hmm," I nodded, smiling.
I wrapped my arms around his neck as he gazed down at me.
"What are we going to do today?" I asked, and he shook his head as if pondering an answer before unexpectedly leaning in and kissing me softly.
"I was thinking about this and some exercise," he said as he lifted me and set me down on the kitchen countertop. He gazed down at me, his eyes lingering on my bare legs that barely covered my thighs.
"I love you, Tae," I whispered.
"I know," he replied
"Even if it took you a while to feel the same way, thank you for loving me... and for last night," he said, causing a blush to spread across my cheeks at the mention of it.
