Taehyung and I were fortunately back together, and I felt an immense sense of relief. All I wished for was that he wouldn't doubt the depth of my feelings for him again; I wanted him to trust me completely.

Rightnow, we were alone in the cabin.

"Would you like some coffe?" Taehyung asked, his eyes sparkling with childlike excitement.

Guess who taught him how to prepare it?

I nodded enthusiastically and got up from the couch, being careful not to put too much pressure on my injured ankle. But he stopped me.

Taehyung insisted I stay seated in the living room while he made it for me, using my injury as an excuse. While it was true that I had been hurt, the pain had eased, and I felt confident I could run a mile on that ankle if I needed to.

"Come on, I'm fine now," I protested, which earned me an eye roll from him.

Eventually, he gave in, and I followed him into the kitchen.

"Alright, I'll just stand here and watch you make it," I said playfully. In a flash, he lifted me effortlessly onto the kitchen countertop.

"Perfect, now sit tight like the good girl you are," he teased, tucking a strand of hair behind my ear with a smile before turning back to the coffee. I directed him from the kitchen island, pointing out the things he needed for it

I watched him struggle with the machine for some minutes and he surprisingly managed to finish making the coffee.

He took a mug from the shelf and poured a generous amount, but it overflowed, making a mess on the table. He cleaned up the mess on the table before handing me the steaming coffee in my mug.

Nothing compares to the taste of coffee in a cozy log cabin in the woods...

"Taste it," I urged, nudging the mug toward him, but he shook his head.

"Why do you dislike it?" I inquired, raising an eyebrow. It was hard to fathom that someone could actually have a distaste for coffee.

"I dislike it for the same reason you don't like cilantro..." he answered, climbing up to sit on the counter next to me.

"What? Did you just compare coffee to...??" I exclaimed, taken aback.

That was quite an insult.

"I was merely making an observation," he shrugged, chuckling at my shocked expression.

"No, you can't just say something like that," I replied earnestly, genuinely offended.

"Okay, I'm sorry, Jennie," he said, patting my head as if I were a puppy.

"You're so cute," he teased, causing a blush to spread across my cheeks. I pushed his hands away and jumped down from the counter, making my way to the living room.

We settled back on the couch with just our drinks, comfortably leaning against each other's warmth.

We decided to watch a movie. After a few rounds of rock-paper-scissors, which I won, I picked Maxton Hall. Unfortunately, we only managed to get through four episodes before we had to stop, even though we were both eager to continue.

"Did you remember to bring your mask?" Taehyung asked, and I nodded. Ever since I got it, it had always been in my bag.

"Let's go to town," he proposed, and I nodded eagerly. Without waiting for him to say anything more, I rushed to my room to change my clothes.

Yep, I was definitely that type of girl.

I stood in front of the mirror, adjusting the fluffy white beanie that covered my messy hair and placing my hands on my cheeks, hoping the mask was securely attached to my face. I really didn't want it to fall off!
