The day I had been waiting for was finally here. It was D-Day, the big award ceremony, and it was happening at The Golden Palace in Paris. Lucky for us, we were already in the city, so it wasn’t far to go.

The girls and I had all gathered in Lisa's suite to get ready. The vibe was super exciting. We were all buzzing with anticipation about the étoile de diamant, the most prestigious award any artist could dream of. To make things even cooler, we had a vogue photographer snapping pics of us as we got ready. I mean, how awesome is that?

Our stylist was amazing and worked quickly to make sure we looked incredible right on time. I couldn’t get enough of my hair; it was styled in these gorgeous, bouncy curls, and two braids framed my face like they were made for me. My makeup was on point too—perfectly done to highlight my features without looking over the top. I swear, I felt like a total princess.

As we took a moment to admire ourselves in the mirror, I felt pretty darn fabulous. But just as I was soaking in the moment, a hint of anxiety started to creep in. I mean, this was a HUGE deal. What if we tripped on the red carpet? What if I didn’t win? The what-ifs circled my mind like a swarm of bees.

“Stop freaking out, Jennie. You look amazing!” Jisoo said, giving me a reassuring smile. She looked stunning too, with her elegant dress flowing around her. I knew she was right, but those nerves were still hanging around.

After some final touches, we grabbed our bags and stepped out of the suite. The excitement in the air was electric. We walked towards the elevator, and I could already hear the buzz of the ceremony from down the hall – the laughter, the music, and the chatter of all the artists and celebrities.

As we walked towards the van, it felt like the whole world had gathered to see us. Paparazzi were everywhere, their cameras clicking madly, desperate to capture the moment we stepped out of the hotel. I could hear their voices shouting our names, and it was surreal. My heart raced, not just because of the excitement but also due to the tight circle of bodyguards that surrounded us, keeping the crowd at a safe distance. I couldn’t help but feel a mix of thrill and anxiety – this was a part of my life now, and sometimes, it still felt so strange.

I looked down at my outfit, trying to calm myself. I wore a vintage gown that flowed down to the floor, hugging my body perfectly like a mermaid's silhouette. The delicate spaghetti straps gave it a charming touch, while the floral pattern felt both elegant and flirtatious. It was the perfect dress for a casual party, yet it made me feel like I was walking the red carpet.

Beside me, Rose looked absolutely stunning in her black velvet dress, which had a daring split that made her stand out even more. The oversized pink bow in her hair added a fun pop of color, contrasting beautifully with her dark dress. Jisoo glowed in her vibrant red maxi dress, which had only one strap. It emphasized her confidence, and the dress flowed gracefully as she moved; she looked effortlessly glamorous. Lisa, however, was the picture of elegance in her sleek black dress, adorned with Bulgari jewelry that sparkled under the dim lights. Each of us had our own style, but together we made an incredible team.

“Guys, you look amazing! Seriously, there’s no reason to be nervous,” Jisoo said with a warm smile as she looked at all of us. Her words were meant to soothe, but I could feel the butterflies in my stomach fluttering away. We always got like this before a big show or event. It seemed to come with the territory.
