Chapter 24

I got up at 6 so that I could get in the shower before Louis. I took my time washing my hair and shaving my legs. When I got out of my steaming shower I felt so refreshed and renewed. I put my hair in a towel to dry, wrapped a towel around myself, and went to my suitcase to get out my clothes. "Good morning Marrissa!" Louis said sitting up in bed. "Morning. Did I wake you up?" I searched through my bag trying to find my black dress. "I heard the shower and Harry came in to wake me up. Apparently Julia has a cat?" I got up from my kneeling position. "Yeah, what happened?""Harry woke up to the cat laying on his chest. It scared the crap out of him and then he came in here to make sure we were awake." Louis got out of bed and went to his suit case to find his dress shirt and pants. "Well is Julia awake?" Louis found them and laid them out on the bed. I went into the bathroom with my clothes in my hands and closed the door behind me. "Yeah, she said she was making coffee. She's probably getting dressed now" Louis said to me from the other side of the door. "How about Amber? Is she alright?" I slipped on my underwear and my push up bra. "Harry woke her up too and she's fine. I didn't hear her throw up so that's good. I think she was in the shower at the same time as you; I heard the water running." "Aren't you a little eavesdropper." I stepped into my dress hopping it still fit.And once I got it on I took my hair out of the towel. "Well the sound is loud enough! It's not like I had my ear against the wall." I opened the door drying my hair, "Im just kidding Lou." He got up and kissed me. "That dress looks perfect on you." I put the towel on the bathroom sink counter. "Thank you" I curtsied. "Do you think I could jump in the shower?" "Ok, just don't hurt yourself and hurry up because I need to do my hair and makeup." "Ok, ok beauty queen." I left the bathroom and Louis closed the door. I walked down the hallway and into the kitchen.

I saw the coffee that Julia made and got myself a cup. It was so good and I finished it quickly. I kept slurping trying to get the last drop out of the cup. "Enjoying that?" I turned around to see Harry in his Calvin Klein boxer-briefs. "Wow-I mean Harry, cover up and put some pants on!" I covered my eyes. "Stop it Marrissa, it's just like seeing me in a bathing suit." "Yeah but your bathing suit doesn't cling or fit to your body like your underwear does!" "Well sometimes I wear a speedo." I let out a sigh. "Shouldn't you be getting dressed? It's 6:54 and we have to leave by 8." "The girls are in the bathrooms." "Just get your clothes and get dressed in Amber's room. Now go!" "But..." "6:55!!" "Ok, Im going, Im going." I made sure Harry was gone when I uncovered my eyes.I put my mug in the sink and went back to my bedroom. Louis was all dressed up. "What's cookin good lookin" I pointed my fingers at him being the looser that I am. "I try my best" he posed and gave me a sexy look. "Ok, now I need to do my hair and makeup." I hurried into the bathroom. "What? No kiss for the sexy stare?" Louis followed me into the bathroom. I have him a quick kiss, "there." "What?! That's not a real kiss." "I don't have time right now babe. I'll make up for it later, ok? Right now I need to do my hair an makeup." "Alright. But I don't think you need any makeup." "Yeah, yeah. Go do your hair, do something with yourself." I was blow drying my hair. Afterwards I applied my foundation, bronzer, concealer, and a little pink blush. I finished off with winged eyeliner and a light pink eye shadow and mascara. I curled my hair into loose curls and put a little lip gloss on. By the time I was finished it was 7:45. "Finally done!" I rushed out of the bathroom. I went over to the closet where I knew I had some black heels from a while ago."Thank God!" I found them and slipped them on. I got my purse and phone and went into the kitchen. Louis and Harry were talking to each other. "You two look sharp!" I said opening my eyes wide. "Damn" Louis said coming over to me and hugging my waist. "You look pretty Marrissa." Harry said. Julia and Amber then came down the hallway. They both looked beautiful. Julia was wearing a lace black dress and black heels with her hair straight. Amber was wearing a cute cream blouse with a black collar and a black peplum-style skirt with black pumps. Her hair was curled like mine. "You guys look gorgeous!" I said. "Yes you do" Harry and Louis added. "Thank ya" Julia said flicking her hair behind behind her shoulder. "Thanks" Amber did her signature shy smile. "You boys sure do clean up well" Amber said and they nodded. "You look hot!" Julia said and they both blushed. "Marrissa, stunning as usual." Julia and Amber said. When we were all done complementing each other we got into Amber's car this time. It was larger than Julia's Jeep and more comfortable. I drove. We listened to the radio and sang along; out of tune of course. "White lips, pale face, breathing in snow flakes. Burnt lungs, sour taste." Everybody belted out the lyrics except for me. I quickly changed the station not taking my eyes off the road. I heard Julia gasp from the back row; Louis was in the front next to me. "Why'd you change it?! That's my jam!" "I just think it's time to change it up a bit." I responded hearing the shakiness in my own voice. I quickly scanned through the different stations trying to find a song that we knew. All I heard in my head was The A-Team playing over and over again. Finally I found a different song thy we knew. "I'm gonna pop some tags, only got $20 in ma pocket. I'm I'm I'm huntin lookin for a come-up, this is - awesome!" We all sang loudly. I felt better and just kept driving until we got to the funeral home. I parked in a spot and immediately I banged my head down on the steering wheel and kept it there. "What did I do?!?"
