Part 13

They all are getting attached to Ks without understanding it and Ks is also depending a lot on them. Mostly Ks is a happy go lucky kid but sometimes she does cry a lot especially when she is sick. Her diabetes and asthma make her sick sometimes, after which no one in the house gets enough sleep.

One fine day, Ks has low sugar which has made her cranky and ill. She cannot understand what is happening to her and others are getting upset as well.

Ks is crying from past 3 hrs, and Hm is on office call, Santu and Cheetah are having some fights due to diaper change duties. As is already frustrated as the crying has interrupted his meeting. Amar lost a big deal as Ks was cranky and he chose the wrong trade. Shivani is trying her best to calm her down but her health has made her stubborn and vulnerable.

As: Chup karao yaar uss bhopu ko. Aur santu cheetah ko koi bolo ki Dheere se jhagda kare. Pura ghar hil gaya hai.

Amar: I lost a fucking big deal coz of her. Ye sab kab band hoga, I want my old life back.

Hm comes in as well and is frustrated as her boss scolded her for taking too many leaves.

Hm: Hum sab apna career iske liye khatam kr rahe hai. Where are the damn reports Anubhav?

As: I don't know Haseena.

At the same moment the bell rings, and As brings in the reports. Ks is still crying and her face is red.

Everyone joins As near the table and he opens the envelope, seeing the reports, in which everyone peeks.

Hm sighs in relief and others exclaim loudly with happiness.

Amar: Yesss.... Matlab ye baachi teri nhi hai Anu. We can give her in orphanage.

Hm: Pr...

As: Koi pr nhi Hasu, hum abhi jake chodke ate hai. Waise bhi aaj wo kuch jyada hi pareshan kr rahi hai.

As takes Ks from Shivani. Ks stops crying for a minute but looks at everyone with teary eyes.

As: Chaliye beta ji, apko chodke aate hai. Hope krte hai ki apko aachi family mile.

Amar: Me and cheetah will join u.

Hm: Yeah, come soon.

Hm takes Ks in her arms when As is trying to wear his shoes, when Ks puts her head on her chest. Hm's heart skips a beat when she realizes that she doesn't want to let Ks go. But then she remembers all the scoldings and sufferings and hands over Ks to As who starts crying loudly again.

The three men go taking away Ks and drops her out of the orphanage, ringing the bell once.

A: Nikal jaye?

As: Kisiko kholne to de.

A: Aree agar wo kholenge toh humse puchenge ki kyu chod rahe hai, isse acha nikal jate hai.

C: Beers leke chalte hai, chalo.

They drop Ks on the doorstep and go away, Ks is already weak due to low sugar and all the crying. The boys bring the beers home and everyone parties a bit.

They are sitting silently, having some beer and pizza, when Cheetah speaks, "Kitna shant aur saaf hai na aab ghar?"

Ss: Hanaa, Karu thi tab pura ghar sir pe uthati thi.

Hm: Uska rona toh abhi bhi mere kano mai gunj raha hai. Yucks.

St: Pr baachi achi thi yaar. Cute thi pr mehnat hai baachi ko palna.

As: Mehnat nhi bhai, bimaar baachi thi wo. Normal bhi nhi thi.

A: Hanaa, acha hua chod diya...

After sometime, they are all watching tv when news come that it is going to rain heavily. After sometime, rain starts and everyone goes to sleep.

By 12.00:

In Hm's dreams:

Hm is carrying Ks in her arms, with Ks laying her head on her chest, calm and composed. There are memories of Ks making Hm super happy with her antics.

And suddenly all the good memories start turning sad.

Hm watches as Ks cries and slowly parts away from her, someone snatching her away from her hands.

In Ss's dream:

Ss is playing peek-a-boo with ks. They both are giggling at cheetah and Ks is playing with her hands.

Ks parts away from Ss, her small hand going away from her large one.

In As's dream:

Ks is calling him papa, making him laugh, pulling on his hairs as she sits on his shoulder.

And then, she moves away, slowly from him.

Her voice saying, "don't like me?"

In Amar's dream:

Ks is laughing loudly as she is thrown in the air, by amar, giving him sloppy kisses. Making him eat chocolates by her hand.

And suddenly she vanishes in thin air, her crying face being the last thing he see's in his dream, making grabby hands towards her.

In Shivani's dream:

Ks pats Shivani's mouth softly asking her to sing lullabies to her. Shivani singing to her and Ks smiling and cuddling in her lap. Shivani remembers Ks supporting her and being against Amar each time they fight.

And then, Ks suddenly is being taken away from her hands by As, and she observes how Ks is crying while the six of them are cruel enough to drop her in orphanage when she was sick.

In CC's dream:

Ks is playing with Cc, roaring to call him towards her. Cc crawling behind her to catch her. And suddenly Ks vanishes from his sight. He searches her everywhere but couldn't find her.

All of their dreams end at the same note and they all wake up in distress.
