Saying this As moves out, Hm is standing on the door and had listened to all this. Ks gets all mushy and teary and starts crying immediately, and loudly. As stops in his steps in the corridor and his heart feels heavy as he hears her cry her eyes out.

Hm comes towards him as Nurse tries to calm down Ks.

N: Aree beta shaant ho jao. Wo uncle pagal hai. Beta plz shant ho jao na, dekho oxygen mask bhi nikal raha hai rote rote.

With Hm and As:

Hm: Anu, ye kya hai. Baachi hai wo. How would she know anything? 1 saal ki hai wo sirf. Uska awaaj suniye. She is crying so much.

As: Ik, I am sorry. Hume samaj nhi aya. Pr... I don't want to hear that words yaar Hasu.

Hm: Ik, hum samjha denge usse. Aab chaliye andar.

As: Chalo.

They both move towards the room.

N: Aree yaar, aise koi itni choti bacchi pe chilata hai kya. Hum doctor ko pakka batayenge ki baachi ko kisi aache parents ko dede. Jinn logo ko baache nhi hote na, unhe hi samaj ata hai ki ek chote baby ki keemat kitni hoti hai. Value hoti hai phir.

As feels more guilty but Hm takes his hand and squeezes it. As comes towards Ks and takes her in his arms, but Ks trashes more and her breathing gets shallow.

Hm immediately steps forward and takes Ks in her arms and slowly makes Ks keep her head on her chest and holds the oxygen mask in its place. It works like magic and Ks calms down and slowly stops crying.

N: Ma'am plz unhe leke yaha baith jaiye, mai hath ka saline change krti hu.

Ks lays her head quietly and allows the nurse to change the saline. Hm is also enjoying the hug but her eyes fill up when she sees blood coming out of her little hand when the nurse changes the site. The old hand is bruised a bit and Hm kisses her hand immediately. Ks looks up at her face. Nurse moves out.

N: Oxygen mask bhi nikal diya hai. Jarurate pade to use kar lena.

As sits beside the bed, where Hm is sitting with Ks in her lap, and takes ks bruised hand.

Ks looks at him and scrunches her nose in anger and takes her hand from his hands. Hm giggles and As makes a poor face.

As: Aree yaar chotu sorry na. Galti se chilla diya. Haath bhi nhi lagane degi kya.

Ks turns her face other side by puffing her small cheeks. Hm laughs and As makes a sad face.

As: Acha sorry. Chalo mai tumhe bohot saare toys lake dunga. Aab to hath lagane do.

Ks looks at him and then looks at Hm, who smiles and nods her head.

Ks nods her head and As moves his hands towards her cheeks when she bites him by using the front 2 small teeth which had started showing their face. They were razor sharp and As screams in pain holding his hand.

Hm laughs loudly and Ks giggles.

Hm: You deserved it.

As makes a sad face. Ks starts getting restless and Hm lays her down in her lap.

Hm: Kya hua. Bhook lagi hai apko. Ruk jao thoda, nurse apka khana leke ati hi hogi.

As: Kya hua priye. Ekdum se itni restless kyu hai baachi.

Hm: Bhook lagi hai usse Anu.

While these two talk, Ks has started unconsciously searching for milk, from Hm. Hm is shocked when Ks tries to suck on her breasts from outside. She immediately separates Ks from herself, which makes Ks cry.

Hm gives Ks to As and excuses herself to washroom.

Closing it, she leans on the door and closes her eyes.

Hm: Shit, ye kya... Why did I feel so happy when she... I am not her mother.
