"Ji, I am fine,"
The woman groaned, "Hyunjin, your place is not wheelchair accessible at all nor is my place, we need to figure something out... especially since you get out tomorrow,"
"And living with his is better than Chan or someone?" Hyunjin questioned indifferently.
"Are you forgetting that Chan has two kids. Minho and Jisung have their pets plus their daughter and Sophia is pregnant right now. His place is the only one that is okay for you to be at," Yeji stated.
Hyunjin rolled his eyes and crossed his arms.
Yeji was done. Five weeks Hyunjin has been acting like a toddler and she was done with it.
She understood it the first couple days, but now it was ridiculous.
"Do you even know why you are upset with him?"
"Yes,"She raised a brow, "Why are you upset with him?" The woman asked.
"Because of Dohee," Hyunjin told her.
"Bullshit,"
Hyunjin looked surprised, "What?"
"That is fucking bullshit, Hyunjin and we both know it. Why are you upset? Because he did nothing wrong, in fact he has done literally everything right. Yet here you are acting like a four year old who didn't get his way and for what damn reason?" Yeji questioned.
She truly was tired of this.
Hyunjin pressed his lips together. To be honest, he didn't know. The first couple days he was upset about Dohee, but... now?
He wasn't sure.
There was a light knock at the door that capture the siblings attentions.
"Come in," Hyunjin said.
The door opened and Hyewon entered. She looked nervous.
"Hyewon," Yeji said softly.
She smiled and waved a little, "Is this a bad time?"
Yeji sighed and shook her head, "No, I am just about to go get some coffee. Hyunjin... just... figure it out please,"
The brunette left the room, leaving the two alone.
"How are you doing given everything?" Hyewon asked.
"I have been much better," Hyunjin said.
Hyewon nodded and sat in the chair next to the bed, "I actually-" "I know already, Hyewon,"
"I guess it is that obvious,"
"Kind of,"
"I was going to tell you I swear," she said.
"When? I mean it has been like eight years," Hyunjin said.
"Hyun, I was 19 and so terrified when I saw those two pink lines. It was especially difficult when I had just rejected you,"
Hyunjin nodded, "I just kind of wish I knew sooner... I missed eight years of her life,"
Hyewon chuckled a little, "Makes you feel any better she is mad too. She figured it out as soon as you left the gas station. Barely been talking to me,"
"Sounds like you,"
"That's what my mom said," Hyewon said.
Hyunjin laughed a little, then the two sat in a short silence.
"Where is that cute brunet you were with?"
Hyunjin pursed his lips and took a breath, "Not here,"
The brunet raised a brow, "I know that tone. What happened?"
"He knew about my sister and I hadn't told him. Turns out he was there that day,"
"He has to be like 25-26, Dohee was like seven years older than you and Yeji. He would have been like five or six what was he doing there?" Hyewon asked.
"Uhm..." Hyunjin paused, "Dohee was protecting him,"
Hyewon nodded. Now she understood.
"It isn't his fault and you know that, that I can tell just from how you spoke. There is more though,"
"There isn't," Hyunjin stated.
"You wanna know what I think?" She asked.
No matter what he said she'd still say it.
"What?"
"It is easy to tell you love him, from the way you lit up a little when I mentioned him to the way you look at him. I think that you thought you knew everything about him and then he told you this and it blindsided you because you didn't know this about him.
You thought you knew all the faces of him, but you didn't and you don't. You can love someone and be with them for 70 years and still not know every side to them.Love is never perfect there is no perfect love. There is just love. And if you love him like it is clear you do, you shouldn't let this get in the way of that, because there are even sides of you he's probably never seen," Hyewon told him.
Hyunjin bit his lip.
Maybe she was right.
