    “Hyunjin, what happened?”
  
Hyunjin pursed his lips and shook his head, “It doesn't matter,”

Yeji was going to say something but the doctor began talking.

  What happened?

  Felix exited the elevator and sighed seeing Yoon at his front door.

  Too many things for him to deal with. He just could not handle it.

   “Felix, are you okay?”

  “Yoon, just please leave,”

  “No, you were just at the hospital with him, did he make you cry?” Yoon questioned.

  Felix blinked a couple times and just continued to unlock his door.

   “Felix?”

   The younger said nothing.

  “Angel,” Yoon said.

   Felix stopped opening the door. His grip was tight on the doorknob before he let it go and turned to Yoon.

  “I have tried to be nice about this, but it seems you are not listening. I like you, Yoon and I adore you kids, but I cannot be with you not now and probably not in the future.

  Because in the end, it is not fair to you, because I cannot give you all that you deserve because I will always love Hyunjin. I have loved him for nearly six years and my feelings have not changed. If I were to stay in a relationship with you, it would not be fair,” Felix stated.

  “And liking isn't enough?”

   Felix took a breath, “I love that I like you, but I will probably never get to the point of loving you the way I love him, which is not fair to you. It is something that I am not fond of, but he means a lot to me,”

   “Why? Why does he mean so much? Why can't you let him go?”

   Felix didn't know why, but he knew that two points stood out most to him when thinking about it.

   “The things you know about me… it is barely a fraction of what he knows about me. Hyunjin has seen me cry. He has seen me upset. He has seen so many sides to me and I of him.

  But it is also the fact that he has been my safe place to land when I needed to. No matter how hard I try it'll most likely always be like that,” Felix said.

  Yoon nodded, “Well when he breaks your heart again, I'll be here,”

   “That isn't fair Yoon,”

   “It is fair. It is the fairest of fair, when he has already broken your heart once and is bound to do it again,” he stated.

   “So what if I get my heart broken again by him? I've probably broken his heart more than he's broken mine,” Felix stated.

   “I doubt that,”

   Felix scoffed.

  “That is the issue. Contrary to what you believe I am not some saint. I am a human, I fuck up just like everyone.

  You see Hyunjin as some type of devil because of what he has done and how he has hurt me, while it was shitty it is nothing. So stop,”

   “How is it nothing, Felix? Huh, how is what he did nothing?” Yoon questioned.

   “Because compared to what I kept from him for years, what he did is simply nothing,” Felix stated.

  “How is it worse? He led you on making you believe that you two would be together,”

  The younger shook his head, “It doesn't matter nor is it your concern, we are not together anymore,”

    Felix entered his flat locking it as soon as he closed it.

  He was exhausted.

   He wanted to reason with himself that it wasn't Felix's fault, but it was hard.

    Felix did keep it from him for years, which is probably what hurt most.

  “Hyunjin, what happened with Felix? He hasn't been back all day and to be honest it is weird,” Yeji said.

  “Nothing Yeji,” Hyunjin muttered.

  Now she knew something happened.

It took her a minute but it clicked at least she hoped. There is only one thing that could get Hyunjin like this.

    “He told you about Dohee,” Yeji said.

   Hyunjin looked at her confused, “You knew?”

  “I found out a long time ago. He told me, I was upset for a bit, but it's not like he pulled the trigger,”

  “But he knew,”

    “He was also only six when it happened. He wasn't the one who killed her and… she was protecting him,” Yeji said.

Now Hyunjin was actually confused.

  “Protecting him?”

    She said too much apparently.

  “He didn't… oh,”

   “Didn't what?” Hyunjin questioned.

Yeji pursed her lips, “The person who killed Dohee wasn't aiming for her, they were aiming at him and Dohee got in the way.

  Dohee was with friends when this all happened. I talked to them after Felix told me. They were cutting through a back way and they saw what was going on. The others wanted to leave but Dohee wanted to step in,” Yeji took a breath.

  “She said that he reminded her of us and she couldn't stand by. She told her friends to call the police, but before the police got there she was shot.

   I did blame Felix for a bit, but it wasn't his fault he couldn't have known it was going to happen,”

   Hyunjin bit his lip.

   He didn't know how to feel.
