Epilogue

Two years later..

Daisy

"I need to get ready for the office," I said as Paul was cuddling me and not letting go, it has become our own personal tradition to wake up early and spend time together before we go out and live our usual office lives. "Few more minutes" as he gave me the puppy dog eye and kissed me as if I were the delicious dessert. "Okay, I am already late dressing up, I don't want to be late for the office," I said with a smile on my face "Yes, I know today is a big day for you" I woke up from the bed; after two years working under Rufus, I got my big promotion since today I am going to be the host of one our popular shows it actually comes under Sally but I am Rufus's employee but most importantly I am loyal to my company no matter who my boss is. I got up, took a shower, and laid out what I will wear today. It is a beautiful suit that Paul had picked out for me when he got to know about the promotion. I walked out of the bedroom and saw he had made a huge breakfast for us I walked up to him and asked "Don't you think it is a little too much for the both of us?" he was about to open his open and the doorbell rang, he sprinted over there and I saw my mom, my sister, and the usual gang "What are you guys doing here?" I did not know that they were going to come here Enzo said "How can we not celebrate your big day Daisy" he handed me the gift and all of them entered the room. My mom came up to me and said "I am really and truly proud of you, I hope you achieve many more things in life and grow even more" My eyes filled with tears as she said that but instead of uttering any words I gave her a big hug and the others joined us.  

"It is a beautiful breakfast lay" Monique interrupted as she was stuffing a bagel down her throat "I agree" Sally continued but I somehow had a feeling that she was hiding something as I recall there was some tension going on with the upper ups in the office and it had only made us work more and yet have a pleasant time in the office perhaps I have to sit down with her and ask about that after a wonderful and unforgetful breakfast Rufus said "Don't you have to bein the office?" I looked at the clock and said "shit, yes I am on my way let me grab my keys then I am off" Everybody looked at each other which somehow I don't find weird at all that is when Rufus said "I have your keys" I thought it was unusual of him carrying something that is not in his procession "What are you talking about my keys are on the table look" I marched towards the table and showed him but that is when he removed another set of keys and showed me "No, this is your car keys" "What? no this is my car keys" I said to him indicating that he was wrong here, Grace got up and said "On the occasion of your promotion we all decided and pitched in for your new car" She handed me the key and I could not believe it how and why would they do this for me but I am grateful for people like them to have in my life not because of the gift they give but because I know whenever I am in trouble I can count on them blindly and I would do the same for them. 

I was emotional at the moment and said " As I saying this I don't want any of you to interrupt and just listen so I am full of thankfulness and excitement. Friends are often said to as the family that we pick for ourselves. In a world that can often feel overwhelming, I am grateful for the people assembled here today—my friends. You've been my biggest supporters, confidants, and cheerleaders. Each of you has had a unique impact on my life, molding who I am now. As I ponder on our journey together, I am reminded of the laughs we've had, the struggles we've overcome, and the memories we've made. Each moment has created a beautiful tapestry of memories that I treasure dearly. Today, I'd like to honor not only our friendship but also the enormous impact you've made on my life." every word is true but I can say I am blessed by these crazy people in my life " I'd like to express how grateful I am for each of you. Life is a lovely adventure, and having friends like you makes it that much more important. As we continue on our paths, let us promise to stay connected, encourage one another, and enjoy the link we have. Here's to many more years of laughter, adventure, and unforgettable memories. Thank you, my dear friends, for being the amazing people you are!" I raised my orange juice and cheers to that. "Okay, now I am going to be late because all of you so bye-bye" as I was leaving my house I turned back and looked at their face everyone was happy and joyful and in that moment I wanted to freeze time.

Daisy already left for work but we were all still there, her mother came up to me and asked "When are you going to propose to her?" I was shocked when she said that but everyone in the room had the same question for me "I am going to propose to her and I have a ring already but she is working but soon hopefully this month I am going to take her to Paris and propose to her and don't give me that look I am not going to propose in front of Eiffel tower it is a cliche but in a library where one of her favorite authors is going to be there so she doesn't suspect anything but I have all this arrangement you all will get to know about that later" I finished but my dear sister asked, "Why are you not giving us any details?" I simply said "I know one of you will rat me out and I don't want that to happen she loves this author and it is going to be romantic as hell" I drank my OJ and left for work.

As I was working suddenly out of the blue I recall what had happened two years ago but what Daisy doesn't know is when she slept I went there at the same place I had left Max and as I expected he was still there as I walk out of the car he seems to be begging for his life, I was going to let him go but after Daisy said to me and what all things he did to her I loathed him so damn much that I couldn't stand him being alive the same moment my girl is suffering so I took out my gun and shoot him directly between his eyebrows, Leo was with me at the time and he didn't say anything to me or anyone about this but he told me that he is going to take care of the body and that exactly what he did, till today no one could find out what happened to Max not even Daisy but that is all the past now. 

I opened my laptop and video chatted with my parents I told them my plan and they were thrilled about it they only wished to be there with us but I can't let that happen I know Daisy would like something private and not get proposed in front of millions of people. One part of my plan that I said to Sal and others was true but what they didn't know it that I had booked this author specifically for this proposal. I had to be discreet so I booked a normal, popular library and told him to be there as Daisy and I walked in the store was going to empty except for a few people that I hired to be the photographers and videographers, they all were going to wait in line and get some book signed and when it is going to our turn the author will ask "I have something better for you" and he will hand the mic and I'll kneel down and ask her to marry me.

 I couldn't wait any longer I booked the tickets immediately after a few weeks we were in Paris and doing all the touristy things and for some reason, I had the ring with me all the time but when we got to lock bridge to catch the sunset I looked at Dasiy she was looking as beautiful anyone could ever be and that is when I decided to propose her I couldn't care less about the arrangements I had done, it was my inner voice telling me that this is the time and I couldn't be more wrong she was looking stunning in her sunflower dress with her hair open with a pendant that I got for her and no ring so it was a perfect time to complete her outfit and thanks to god no one was around us so this will be private too, as she was yapping about sunsets and what not I took a step back and kneel down with the ring box open I told her to look behind and she turned she was flattered but I had things to say her and that is exactly what I did I said " My love, Daisy, it is a long-awaited moment for me. I had an undeniable connection with you from the moment I saw you. You brighten my life in ways I never imagined were possible. I stand here now, full of love and appreciation, to ask you to be my life partner. I recall the first time we met on the badminton court. I was intrigued by your smile. Our journey together has been full of amazing memories, such as our first trip to Costa Rica and the laughter we enjoyed during every moment we spent together. We had obstacles that tried us, but they only strengthened us. You are my confidante, my biggest supporter, and my most exciting experience. Your kindness, determination, and spirit inspire me every day. We share dreams of [name shared goals], and I can't fathom having anybody else by my side to guide me through life's path.  I dream of starting a family with you and tackling life's obstacles together. We are going to celebrate life's joys and make a home full of love. I envision a wonderful life together, full of love, laughter, and adventure. I promise to support, cherish, and be by your side through everything."  and after all this I finally asked her 

"Will you marry me?"
