Daisy

The day is finally here, I have never been to Costa Rica I hope it is dreamy like I have always imagined it, with the mountains and beaches and most important Paul with me. Since the day Leo mentioned Costa Rica and offered to stay there for the weekend, I have been daydreaming about it ever since. "Send it Rufus" I heard a voice and it brought me back to reality I snapped up and saw the files on my desk, the new job has been keeping me busy and everything up till now has been smooth, everything is going as I have planned and cherry on top is Paul has moved in with me; I know he did not bring the whole closet of his to our place or else it would have been filled with it with no space to even walk around the house. I took those files and marched towards Rufus's office I knocked on the door "Do you need something?" I turned behind and Rufus was standing behind me, usually, he is always in his office and rarely steps out of it even at lunch he orders his meals I suppose he needs to maintain a "Boss" image in the office "Yes, I need to have your approval for these documents" I say with a low tone and head down "Come on in" he said dryly and opened the door, I waited few seconds for him to enter first but he gestured me to go in first. 

I placed the files on his desk and was about to leave when he said "Wait, let's get this done right now" he was right it was better to get this work done right now than later I took a seat while he was going through the files, almost an hour passes and he asked "You don't have work right now?" thankfully I didn't "No, I just have these for now then I am done" I said, I should have brought my phone with me just sitting here ideally is boring as hell "Good, perfect time by the time we finish this the working hour will be finished" I smiled was a reply to him instead of utter any words out of my mouth I waited for another thirty minutes when he finally said "These are good to go" I was relieved that there might need no more changes, I took the files and was walking out the door "The time is up you can finish it later okay, go home" I turned around saw the clock on his wall and agreed with him. I placed the files on my desk and packed them for the day. As I was walking towards my car I saw Rufus walking beside me I chose to walk silently rather than having small talk with him. "So, are you excited?" he asked me, I was surprised I thought Rufus was the silent type of guy but here he was the one making efforts for small talk "Yes, very much so" I answered his question in simple and short way "Great see you there" after he said that he got in his car and drive away while I was startled by his comment what did he mean by see you there? Is he going to be there too? I started my car and drove away. 

I entered my apartment and saw Paul waiting for me with a glass of wine in his hand, he walked towards me took my bag, and handed me the glass which I very much needed "Thank you, baby, I am so happy tomorrow we will be flying to Costa Rica" he kisses me on my temple but I remembered something asked him "Is Rufus is going there too?" he did not look shocked not even for mili second and said "Yes, Leo is a friend with Rufus and Enzo so they will be there too" I knew the connection between Paul, Leo, Enzo, and Rufus but I would never have imagined all three of them are friends I think it would be great that not only my friends are coming but Paul's too, although they have multiple relations between them and not just a friendship I hope no one gets offended in any way or it will become a troublesome conversation when we all get back "That's nice, did you pack?" I asked him while I sipped my wine playing with his ears "Yes, you need to get started on that soon" I got up from my place to start packing when I heard my doorbell ring. Paul and I were looking at each other with a blank face for this unexpected guest, we both walked through the door and as we opened it was Sally with two big ass bags with her "What are you looking at get bags in" she said to Paul while we were still processing her visit and she was already pouring down the wine in a glass, I chuckled and patted on Paul's back and went inside. Sally and I were chatting up and Paul was setting her bags in the guest bedroom "I didn't mean barge in like this but you know all of us are flying so I thought it is better that we all go together that way we don't have to keep asking where are you? or where did you reach and stuff" Personally I don't mind Sally staying in fact whenever she is around I enjoy the fullest "And let's not forget mom would dance on my head the whole night and in the morning until you get out of the house" Paul came up from behind and joined our conversation, I love how all of them are staying together well not Paul anymore but Sally?

"Let's get dinner shall we?" I continued, we all were going to fly so instead of making dinner at home we decided to order and rest as much as possible before the flight, it took forty-five minutes to decide what we all were going to eat. This brother-sister duo is very picky when it comes to food and as much as I know Sally is the picky one I told her we could order from different places but insisted we all eat from one only so when the order came we could dine together and wait for the other order, after our dinner we all went to bed without any thought.

The next morning when I woke up I hear voices from down the hall I got up from bed still smelling like yesterday's food I see these two fighting about what shoes they are going to wear "I told you I am wearing this blue and white nike shoes" Paul yells and pulls the shoes from her hands "And I told you I don't want to twin with you so change the whole damn outfit" Sally screams on the end, I run my finger on the bridge of my nose I can't believe how stupid of a fight is this and is it worth getting up from my sleep for this. "Alright you two that is enough" I stand between them talking in my morning breath and the tip of the iceberg is I hadn't had my coffee yet, both of them are silent now and looking at me "You two are adults" I point at both them and look at Paul and say "If you want to wear those wear" then I look at Sally and say "And you, you are wearing a gorgeous outfit no one is even going to look at Paul when you will be there so calm down" both of them looked at each other and made a truce at that moment but I am feeling like a mom who did not sign up for this kind of parental advice between two kids who always get ways. "Now I am going to freshen up, I better see all of the bags near the door and my coffee ready" This time I did not look at any of them I was looking down at the floor and talking "Yes" Both of them synchronized this time and I went ahead and got freshen up. As I was brushing my teeth I could not believe how an insanely idiotic fight was going on in the hall but somehow that fight woke me up or else I would have been the reason we got late or worse missed our flight.

 When I walked out of my room I saw both of them sitting at the dining table and waiting for me, I walked up to them and saw the breakfast was ready and so was my coffee "This feels right" I said and all of us burst into laughter, even they knew I was playing a mom role back here but all is forgotten and forgiven. Paul calls a cab for us and we head toward our car "Why are there two cabs here?" I asked him when I saw two cars waiting for us "Have you seen her bags? Of course, I had to call two cabs" It made sense to me but I hoped Sally wouldn't get offended by this "It is fine anyhow because of me you two love birds could not have privacy last night" she was correct although we went to bed early Sally kept coming in our room and showing us cat photos and all of the dessert in the world and how many she has eaten; we all went our ways but in cab I was sitting close to Paul laying my head on his shoulders and playing with his fingers all the till airport.

I spotted our group in the second half of them and half the girls were waiting in Starbucks with their coffee at a table and the next door was a bar where we spotted the guy, we walked towards them and I said "Let us all sit together while have to wait okay" guys did not budge from their seat so the girl agreed and sat at their table. Monique looks lovely she always has this warmness in her which can be felt from miles away but today even more she is wearing a beautiful brown dress with some jewels on an updo and sunglasses, Grace is a wild spirit and she is not afraid to show that she is wearing co-ord set with jewels and she let her hair flow and for the guys all of them were in suit I don't know I mean wouldn't it be uncomfortable to sit in one exact position for a flight? Gratefully Paul is not influenced this much he is wearing a cream T-shirt and jeans, he wanted to wear his Nike shoes but they did not go with the outfit so now he is wearing loafers and Sally got her way after all.
