Taehyung woke up the next morning, blinking slowly as the sunlight filtered through the curtains. He felt a gentle warmth wrapped around him, and it took a moment for his sleepy mind to remember where he was-and who he was with.

Jungkook's arm was draped casually around Taehyung's waist, holding him close against his chest. Their legs were tangled under the blanket, and Jungkook's breath tickled the back of Taehyung's neck as he slept soundly. Taehyung's cheeks flushed at the closeness, feeling that familiar warmth creeping up his skin.

He turned his head slightly, peeking over his shoulder at Jungkook's peaceful expression. His hair was slightly tousled, his lips slightly parted, and he looked softer than Taehyung had ever seen him-far from the usual teasing glint in his eyes. For a moment, Taehyung found himself just staring, the sight strangely endearing.

But then, Taehyung's movement must have disturbed Jungkook's sleep, because he shifted, tightening his hold around Taehyung. His eyes fluttered open slowly, and he let out a low hum, a lazy smile spreading across his face when he realized just who was in his arms.

"Good morning, beautiful," Jungkook murmured, his voice husky with sleep. He gave Taehyung a gentle squeeze, his tone turning playful almost immediately. "Did you sleep well, or were you too busy thinking about me?"

Taehyung rolled his eyes, his face already heating up. "You're really starting this early in the morning?" he mumbled, trying to sound exasperated, but there was no hiding the way his heart skipped a beat at the casual endearment. He wriggled slightly, attempting to create some space between them, but Jungkook only held him tighter.

"Mmm, no escaping, Tae," Jungkook teased, his voice dropping to that low, playful tone that never failed to fluster Taehyung. He nuzzled closer, pressing his face against the crook of Taehyung's neck, making the latter shiver slightly at the warm breath against his skin.

Taehyung bit back a flustered noise, his fingers curling into the blanket. "Jungkook, let go..."

Jungkook's response was to chuckle softly against his neck, the sound vibrating through Taehyung's skin. He shifted, turning Taehyung in his arms until they were face to face. His smile widened into a cheeky grin as he met Taehyung's slightly panicked gaze. "Tell you what, if you want me to let go, you have to give me kisses. It's the only way."

Taehyung's jaw dropped slightly, his face turning a bright shade of red. "W-what kind of condition is that?" he sputtered, glaring at Jungkook even as his heart pounded wildly in his chest.

Jungkook only raised an eyebrow, smirking at Taehyung's reaction. "A fair one, I think. You do want your freedom, don't you?" He tilted his head, his expression turning playfully innocent. "Or do you just like being this close to me, Tae?"

Taehyung's flustered expression deepened, and he let out a quiet huff, knowing there was no winning with Jungkook. After a moment of hesitation, he leaned in and pressed a quick, shy kiss to Jungkook's cheek, feeling like his face was on fire the entire time.

"There! Now let go," Taehyung muttered, trying to look anywhere but at Jungkook's face.

But before he could pull back, Jungkook turned his head slightly, catching Taehyung's lips in a surprise peck that lingered just a little too long to be innocent. Taehyung froze, his eyes wide as the unexpected contact sent a jolt through him, making his entire body go rigid.

Jungkook pulled back just enough to smirk at Taehyung's stunned expression, his voice turning low and teasing. "Now that's a proper good morning, don't you think?"

Taehyung was speechless, his cheeks flushed red from the tip of his ears down to his neck. He stared at Jungkook, his mind struggling to catch up with what just happened. The warmth of Jungkook's lips still lingered on his own, leaving him too flustered to form a coherent response.

And Jungkook, of course, found his reaction absolutely adorable. He chuckled softly, the sound warm and rich as he leaned in closer, his breath brushing against Taehyung's lips. "You're so cute when you're all flustered, Tae. It makes me want to keep teasing you like this."

Before Taehyung could muster up a reply, Jungkook shifted again, this time slipping his arms beneath Taehyung's knees and back. In one smooth motion, he lifted him up into a bridal carry, making Taehyung yelp in surprise.

"W-what are you doing?" Taehyung stammered, gripping onto Jungkook's shoulders instinctively as he was hoisted into the air.

Jungkook gave him a playful grin, his eyes twinkling with mischief. "Carrying you to breakfast, of course. But, oh no, it seems the guest room is unavailable, so I guess you'll have to stay with me again tonight," he said with a wink, carrying Taehyung effortlessly towards the door.

Taehyung's mouth opened and closed, completely lost for words. He buried his burning face into Jungkook's shoulder, trying to hide his embarrassment as he muttered, "You're impossible, Jungkook. Absolutely impossible."

Jungkook just laughed, the sound echoing warmly through the room as he made his way downstairs, cradling Taehyung close in his arms. As they passed by the hallway mirror, Taehyung caught a glimpse of the two of them-him being carried like some damsel in distress, and Jungkook looking smugly pleased with himself.

And despite his embarrassment, a small, genuine smile tugged at the corners of Taehyung's lips, his heart feeling strangely light in that moment. Maybe, just maybe, he didn't mind being teased by Jungkook as much as he thought.
