Breakfast was a lively affair at the Jeon household that morning. Jungkook and Taehyung sat side by side at the dining table, with the Jeon parents across from them, and Yoongi at the head of the table. Taehyung tried his best to keep his composure, but the events of the night before still had his mind spinning. Jungkook, however, seemed perfectly at ease, sneaking in little nudges and teasing remarks every now and then, making it hard for Taehyung to focus on his breakfast.

"Taehyung, dear, you look so handsome today," Mrs. Jeon said with a warm smile as she poured tea. "It's no wonder Jungkook seems so taken with you."

Taehyung's face flushed immediately, and he nearly choked on his toast. "Ah, thank you, Mrs. Jeon. You're too kind," he stammered, glancing nervously at Jungkook, who was watching him with an amused smirk.

"You're right, mom," Jungkook chimed in, his voice dripping with mischief. "He's not just handsome, he's beautiful." He turned to Taehyung, adding in a lower tone, "You should hear the things I've said about you."

Taehyung shot him a look, but before he could retort, Mr. Jeon cleared his throat, drawing their attention. "Well, Yoongi here has some news too. Why don't you tell them, son?"

Yoongi, who had been quietly enjoying his breakfast, looked up with a small smile. "Ah, yes. I'll be staying at Jimin's place for a few days. We've got some things to sort out." He glanced at Taehyung, giving him a supportive nod. "Take care of my brother for me while I'm away, Taehyung."

Taehyung blinked in surprise, feeling the weight of Yoongi's words. "I-uh, sure. I'll do my best," he managed, though he wasn't quite sure what he was agreeing to.

"Good, good," Mr. Jeon said, nodding. "And speaking of being away, your mother and I will be out of town for three days on a business trip. We're leaving after breakfast."

Mrs. Jeon smiled warmly at Taehyung, her eyes twinkling with a hint of mischief that seemed to run in the family. "So you boys will have the house all to yourselves. I hope you can manage without us."

Taehyung's face paled at the implications, but Jungkook's grin only widened, a spark of mischief lighting up in his eyes. His mind was already spinning with ideas, each one more playful than the last. Three days alone with Taehyung? He could definitely make the most of that time.

After finishing breakfast and bidding Yoongi and his parents goodbye, Taehyung excused himself to the restroom, grateful for the temporary reprieve from the teasing. He splashed cold water on his face, trying to steady his racing heart. He was still coming to terms with how comfortable-and utterly unnerving-it felt to be around Jungkook and his family.

As Taehyung took a moment to collect himself, his phone, left on the kitchen counter, began to ring. Jungkook picked it up, glancing at the screen. The caller ID "Dad," and without a second thought, Jungkook answered, a playful smirk already forming on his lips.

"Hello, Mr. Kim! It's Jungkook," he greeted cheerfully.

"Ah, Jungkook! Good to hear from you," Mr. Kim replied warmly. "How's my son doing? He's been talking about you a lot lately."

Jungkook's smirk deepened at that. He glanced toward the hallway where Taehyung had disappeared. "Well, Mr. Kim, I'm glad you asked. Actually, Taehyung will be staying with us for the next three days. He mentioned he loves spending time with me, so I'm making sure he feels right at home."

Taehyung, who had just stepped out of the bathroom, froze in place as he overheard Jungkook's words. His eyes widened in shock, and he mouthed silently, "What are you doing?!"

Jungkook gave him a cheeky wink, holding up a finger to his lips to signal silence. He turned his attention back to the call, maintaining his easy tone. "Don't worry, Mr. Kim. I'll take very good care of him."

Mr. Kim chuckled heartily on the other end. "That's wonderful to hear, Jungkook! Make sure he eats well and gets some rest too. He works too hard sometimes. And tell him not to be shy; he's always welcome wherever you are."

Before Taehyung could find his voice to protest, Mrs. Kim's voice joined in, loud enough that even Taehyung could hear it. "Oh, is that Jungkook? Tell him we're counting on him to keep our Tae happy! And remind Taehyung that he's lucky to have someone like you taking care of him."

Jungkook's smile turned softer at their words, a hint of sincerity slipping into his voice. "Of course, Mr. and Mrs. Kim. I'll make sure he's comfortable here. I promise."

With a final round of goodbyes, Jungkook ended the call, turning to face Taehyung, who looked like he might combust on the spot. His cheeks were flushed, his mouth opening and closing as he tried to process what had just happened.

"Why did you tell them that?" Taehyung demanded, his voice rising slightly. "I never said I'd stay for three days!"

Jungkook leaned casually against the counter, folding his arms as he shot Taehyung a teasing grin. "Well, technically you didn't. But they seemed really happy about it, didn't they? And besides," he said, stepping closer, his voice lowering to that familiar playful tone, "it means we get to spend a lot more time together. Isn't that what you want too, Tae?"

Taehyung felt his heart race at Jungkook's proximity, the playful glint in his eyes sending shivers down his spine. He tried to glare, but it was hard to muster the anger when his pulse was pounding so loudly in his ears. "You're unbelievable," he muttered, though there was no real bite in his words.

Jungkook just chuckled softly, reaching out to tuck a stray strand of hair behind Taehyung's ear. "Better get used to it, beautiful. We've got three whole days together now." He shot Taehyung a wink before sauntering off toward the living room, leaving Taehyung standing there, flustered and trying desperately to calm his racing heart.

And as he watched Jungkook's retreating figure, a part of Taehyung couldn't deny the flicker of excitement that danced alongside his nerves. Three days alone with Jungkook might be more than he bargained for.
