Upstairs, Taehyung leaned against the closed door of the guest room, breathing heavily as he tried to collect himself. His cheeks were still flushed from the intensity of the evening, the warmth of Jungkook's presence lingering in his mind. He knew he couldn't hide forever, but the teasing had become almost too much to handle-especially with the way Jungkook always seemed to know exactly what buttons to press.

"Okay, Taehyung, get a grip," he muttered to himself, running a hand through his tousled hair. "You're just letting him get to you again..."

Despite his pep talk, he couldn't shake the fluttering feeling in his chest or the memory of Jungkook's smirking face. The thought of going back downstairs made his heart race with both nerves and... maybe a little excitement, though he refused to admit it.

But before he could think too much, there was a sudden knock on the door, followed by a familiar voice. "Taehyung, you really left me all alone down there?" Jungkook called, his tone playful but with an edge that made Taehyung's pulse quicken. "Come on, don't be like that. I thought we were having fun."

Taehyung bit his lip, glancing at the door as if it might offer some sort of escape. But he knew he couldn't avoid Jungkook forever-not when he was just outside, probably leaning against the doorframe with that same cocky grin on his face. After a few more seconds of hesitation, he took a deep breath and opened the door, trying to school his expression into something resembling calm.

Jungkook was indeed waiting there, arms crossed and that infuriatingly charming smile still in place. He tilted his head slightly as he looked at Taehyung, eyes twinkling with amusement. "So, what's the excuse this time?" he teased, stepping closer until they were nearly chest-to-chest. "Did you really leave something behind, or were you just running away from me?"

Taehyung swallowed, forcing himself to meet Jungkook's gaze even though it made his heart pound. "I wasn't running away," he lied, though the way his voice wavered slightly betrayed him. "I just... needed a break from all your teasing."

Jungkook's smile widened, his eyes never leaving Taehyung's as he took another step forward, backing him up against the wall. "Oh? And here I thought you were enjoying it," he murmured, his voice dropping to that low, velvety tone that always made Taehyung's knees weak. "But I guess I could go a little easier on you... if you want."

Taehyung opened his mouth to respond, but no words came out. He was too caught up in the way Jungkook's body was so close to his, the warmth of his breath fanning over his skin. He tried to think of a retort, something that would make him sound less flustered, but all he managed was a quiet, breathy, "You-you're too much."

Jungkook chuckled softly, leaning in even closer until their noses almost brushed. "I think you like it when I'm too much," he whispered, his lips hovering just inches from Taehyung's. "You like it when I get close, don't you?"

Taehyung's breath hitched, his hands curling into fists at his sides as he tried to keep from melting under Jungkook's intense gaze. "J-Jungkook..." he stammered, his voice barely more than a whisper. "Stop... playing around."

Jungkook's smirk softened into something more sincere, but the playful edge never quite left his eyes. "Who said I'm playing?" he murmured, his voice a little more serious now. He reached up, gently brushing a strand of hair away from Taehyung's face. "I'm just having fun with you, Tae... and I think you're having fun too."

Before Taehyung could respond, Jungkook leaned in and pressed a quick kiss to the corner of his lips, lingering just long enough to leave Taehyung breathless. He pulled back with a satisfied smile, his thumb grazing over the spot where his lips had just been. "There, now you can't say I didn't warn you," he said lightly, though the way his eyes lingered on Taehyung's flushed face suggested he was far from done.

Taehyung could only stare at him, his mind reeling from the unexpected kiss and the way his heart seemed to leap at the contact. "You... really are too much," he managed to mutter, his voice wavering despite his best efforts to sound annoyed.

Jungkook's grin widened, and he gave Taehyung's hair a playful ruffle. "Yeah, but you like me that way," he said confidently, stepping back to give Taehyung a little space-though not too much. "Now come on, let's head back downstairs before dinner gets cold. I'm sure there's plenty more teasing to go around."

---

As they made their way back to the kitchen, Taehyung couldn't help but feel a strange mix of frustration and exhilaration. He tried to focus on calming down, but every time he glanced over at Jungkook, he found his thoughts wandering back to that brief kiss, to the way Jungkook's lips had felt against his skin.

And when they finally sat down to dinner, Jungkook's smirk only grew as he caught Taehyung sneaking glances his way, making the evening stretch on with a series of playful taunts and knowing smiles that kept Taehyung on edge the whole time.

But Taehyung knew one thing for sure-whatever the next few days had in store, they were going to be anything but boring. And no matter how much he tried to resist, there was a part of him that couldn't wait to see what Jungkook would do next.
