The quiet comfort of the Jeon home settled around them, the air thick with the remnants of the playful tension from earlier. Jungkook, as always, found himself enjoying every second of Taehyung's flustered reactions, but he had even more mischievous plans up his sleeve.
Taehyung, on the other hand, tried to distract himself with the snacks they had spread out. He nibbled on a cookie, but his mind kept replaying the way Jungkook's touch had lingered on his cheek, and the way his voice had softened. It was confusing, overwhelming, and he wasn't sure he liked the way it made his heart race.
Jungkook leaned back on the couch, watching Taehyung struggle to keep his focus anywhere but on him. He smirked, deciding to push a little further. "Hey, Tae," he called out, reaching for one of the strawberries they'd brought from the kitchen. He held it up between his fingers, raising an eyebrow. "Remember our little game from earlier?"
Taehyung glanced over, eyes narrowing warily at the sight of the strawberry. "No," he said flatly, already sensing where this was going. "I'm not doing that again, Jungkook."
Jungkook's smirk widened, and he leaned in closer, his voice dropping to a low murmur that made Taehyung's breath hitch. "Are you sure?" he drawled, twirling the strawberry between his fingers. "Because I think you secretly liked it. And besides, you owe me... for that kiss earlier."
Taehyung's cheeks burned at the reminder, and he quickly turned his head away, trying to hide his flustered expression. "I-I don't owe you anything," he muttered, crossing his arms over his chest as if that could protect him from the onslaught of Jungkook's teasing.
"Oh, but you do," Jungkook replied smoothly. He brought the strawberry closer to his lips, his eyes never leaving Taehyung's. "How about this, then? I'll give you another chance. If you can take the strawberry from me without getting all red, I'll stop teasing you for the rest of the night."
Taehyung froze, torn between his desire to escape Jungkook's relentless teasing and the stubborn pride that refused to let him back down from a challenge. He swallowed hard, glancing at the strawberry, then at Jungkook's smirking face. "You're... you're serious?"
"Dead serious," Jungkook said, his smile turning almost wicked. He leaned in a little closer, the strawberry hovering just inches from Taehyung's mouth. "Unless, of course, you're too shy to try?"
Taehyung's pride flared at the taunt, and he set his jaw, leaning forward slightly despite the rapid beat of his heart. "Fine," he muttered, his voice barely more than a whisper. "But don't blame me if you lose."
Jungkook's smirk softened into something warmer as he held the strawberry steady, watching Taehyung's face with intense focus. "I never do," he replied, and his words sent a shiver down Taehyung's spine.
Taehyung hesitated for a second longer, his breath catching as he realized just how close they were. But he refused to let himself back down now, not when Jungkook's eyes were watching him so intently. He closed the distance between them, carefully taking the strawberry between his lips.
But just as he thought he'd won, Jungkook moved forward, his lips brushing against Taehyung's in a quick, teasing kiss. The touch was brief but electric, leaving Taehyung frozen in place, the strawberry still caught between them. Jungkook pulled back with a low chuckle, savoring the way Taehyung's eyes went wide, his face turning crimson from the unexpected contact.
"Oops," Jungkook murmured, his tone dripping with mock innocence as he swiped a finger over Taehyung's lips, catching a bit of strawberry juice. "Looks like I win again."
Taehyung's heart raced as he tried to gather his scattered thoughts, still reeling from the kiss. He opened his mouth to protest, but all that came out was a choked, flustered sound that made Jungkook's grin widen even more.
"W-Why did you-" Taehyung stammered, his voice barely more than a whisper as he clutched the edge of the couch, desperately trying to steady himself. "You can't just-"
Jungkook leaned in closer, his expression turning a little more serious as he met Taehyung's wide eyes. "I can if I want to," he said softly, his voice dropping to a murmur that sent a shiver down Taehyung's spine. "And you let me, Tae... because deep down, you like it."
Taehyung's breath caught, his heart pounding in his chest as he struggled to process the words. He wanted to argue, to deny it-but the warmth in Jungkook's eyes made it impossible. He swallowed hard, turning his head away in a futile attempt to hide his burning cheeks. "Y-You're... you're impossible," he muttered, his voice barely more than a whisper.
Jungkook's smile softened, and he reached out, gently turning Taehyung's face back toward him. "Maybe," he admitted, his tone turning playful again. "But that's what makes it fun, right?"
Taehyung opened his mouth to retort, but before he could, Jungkook closed the distance between them once more, pressing a soft kiss to the corner of Taehyung's lips. The touch was gentle, almost tender, and it left Taehyung breathless.
As Jungkook pulled back, his eyes shone with a mixture of mischief and something warmer, something that made Taehyung's heart skip a beat. "Come on," he said lightly, offering Taehyung a hand. "Let's find something to do before you turn into a tomato."
Taehyung hesitated, his mind still reeling from the kiss, but he slowly reached out, taking Jungkook's hand. He tried to ignore the way his heart fluttered at the contact, focusing instead on the smirk playing on Jungkook's lips.
And as they left the living room, the teasing banter continuing between them, Taehyung couldn't help but wonder just how many more of these moments Jungkook had in store for him over the next few days.
