The days rolled by, and Taehyung found himself in a cycle of anticipation and irritation. Jungkook's visits to the office had become a regular occurrence, each one filled with laughter and teasing. Taehyung tried his best to act indifferent, but it was getting harder to ignore the fluttering in his stomach whenever Jungkook was near.

On one particularly busy afternoon, Taehyung was buried under a mountain of paperwork. He was trying to push through, but his focus wavered as the memories of Jungkook's teasing flooded back. He couldn't help but smile at how easily Jungkook had managed to invade his thoughts.

Suddenly, the door swung open, and in walked Jungkook, his energy filling the room like sunlight breaking through clouds. He was dressed casually today in a fitted black t-shirt and jeans, a look that somehow made him appear even more charming.

"Taehyung!" Jungkook called out, his voice bright and cheerful. "Guess what?"

Taehyung glanced up from his papers, already bracing himself for the onslaught of teasing. "What is it now, Jeon?"

"I've got a surprise for you!" Jungkook beamed, leaning against the doorframe as if he owned the place. "I managed to score us a reservation at that new Italian restaurant you mentioned wanting to try."

Taehyung's heart raced at the unexpected invitation. "You can't just barge in here and-"

"Oh, but I can," Jungkook interrupted, winking playfully. "I already spoke to your assistant, and she agreed it's a great idea for you to take a break. You've been working way too hard, and you deserve to treat yourself. So, what do you say? A little dinner with your favorite nuisance?"

Taehyung's mouth opened and closed, caught between annoyance and intrigue. He wanted to refuse, to push Jungkook away, but a part of him-one that was growing more insistent by the day-was curious about what a dinner with Jungkook would be like.

"I don't have time for dinner," Taehyung said finally, trying to sound firm. But the hesitation in his voice betrayed him.

Jungkook stepped closer, leaning over Taehyung's desk, his deep voice dropping to a soft, coaxing tone. "Come on, Taehyung. Just one dinner. It'll be fun! You need a break from the office. Besides," he added, a mischievous glint in his eye, "you can't keep denying how much you enjoy my company."

Taehyung felt his resolve crumble. Jungkook's unwavering confidence was infectious, and he couldn't help but imagine what the evening might hold. With a sigh, he finally relented. "Fine. One dinner."

"Awesome!" Jungkook exclaimed, practically bouncing on his heels. "I'll pick you up at seven. Dress nicely, okay? I want to show off my favorite CEO."

"Just because you're treating me to dinner doesn't mean I'll dress up for you," Taehyung replied, but even he could hear the amusement in his tone.

"Oh, I'm counting on it," Jungkook shot back, flashing that charming smile before turning to leave. "See you soon, Taehyung!"

As the door closed behind Jungkook, Taehyung sank back into his chair, a mix of disbelief and excitement swirling inside him. What had he gotten himself into?

---

That evening, Taehyung stood in front of his wardrobe, staring at the array of suits hanging neatly. He had decided to dress smartly, even if he tried to convince himself it was just to keep up appearances as a CEO. After much deliberation, he settled on a fitted navy blazer and a crisp white shirt, hoping to balance professionalism with a hint of casual elegance.

As he stood in front of the mirror, adjusting his collar, a flicker of nerves danced in his stomach. It wasn't a date, he reminded himself. Just dinner with a persistent young man who happened to be the brother of his friend. Nothing more.
