Lucky had just gotten a message from her mother, asking for money. There are times that she wondered, why her?— Times that she thought that she was born just for the purpose of supplying money to her parents who have never worked a day in their life, and even with their financial situation, keep having more and more kids like family planning was a nonexistent thing to practice.

Tin however was in a middle class family, and thankfully she was the only child. It meant that her family could supply her daily needs easily, as both her parents are hardworking.

Later that night, both of them lie in bed, one exhausted, one just accompanying the latter. Lucky stared at the ceiling, trying to fall asleep as she had an early shift the next day, but she was unable to, and Tin noticed.

"Mahal, trouble sleeping?" Tin asked, and Lucky nodded, sitting upright against the bed's headboard, looking at Tin na nakakapagpawi ng pagod niya.

"Anong bumabagabag sa isipan mo, mahal? Sabihin mo lang, makikinig ako." Tin asked softly, her hands finding the older's to massage as she looked into her eyes.

Lucky let out a deep sigh before speaking. Lucky said, her tone making her feel small. She was ashamed, not of her family, but herself for not doing her best.
