Episode 6: "Jealousy" (Ishan's POV)

The next day, I walked into the cafeteria, scanning the room for Shubman. He sat at our usual table, chatting with his teammates.

Mayank nudged me.

"Showtime," Mayank whispered.

I nodded.

Mayank and I made our way to the table, laughing and joking. Shubman's eyes narrowed as Mayank playfully draped his arm over my shoulders.

"Hey, guys," I said, trying to sound casual. "What's going on?"

Shubman's gaze lingered on Mayank's arm.

"Just discussing our next cricket match," Shubman replied, his tone curt.

Mayank grinned.

"Ishan's been giving me tips," Mayank said.

Shubman's eyes flashed with jealousy.

"Oh?" Shubman said. "What kind of tips?"

I chuckled.

"Just some strategy," I replied.

Shubman's face darkened.

"Ishan, can I talk to you?" Shubman asked, his voice low.

"Later," I said, winking at Mayank. "I have plans."

Shubman's eyes blazed with jealousy.

" Plans with Mayank?" Shubman asked.

Mayank leaned in.

"Just coffee," Mayank said. "But who knows?"

Shubman's face turned red.

"I need to talk to you now," Shubman insisted.

I shrugged.

"Can't," I said. "Rain check?"

Shubman's eyes narrowed.

"This isn't over," Shubman said.

Mission accomplished.

But as I walked away with Mayank, I felt a pang of guilt.

Was manipulating Shubman's emotions worth the risk?

Episode 6: "Jealousy" (Shubman's POV)

I watched Ishan walk into the cafeteria, his smile radiant. My heart skipped a beat.

But then I saw Mayank with him.

Mayank's arm draped over Ishan's shoulders, and my gut twisted.

What was going on?

I tried to focus on my teammates' conversation, but my eyes kept drifting back to Ishan and Mayank.

Their laughter and jokes grated on me.

"Ishan, can I talk to you?" I asked, trying to sound calm.

"Later," Ishan replied, winking at Mayank.

My jealousy flared.

" Plans with Mayank?" I asked.

Mayank grinned.

"Just coffee," Mayank said. "But who knows?"

My face burned.

"I need to talk to you now," I insisted.

Ishan shrugged.

"Can't," Ishan said. "Rain check?"

My eyes narrowed.

"This isn't over," I vowed.

As they walked away, I felt a pang of regret.

Why had I let my emotions get the better of me?

I needed to confess my feelings.

But would Ishan even listen?
