Episode 13: "Turning Point"(Ishan's POV)
Shubman and I walked off the field, hands clasped together, the stadium lights casting a warm glow.
The press conference was behind us.
Now, it was time to focus on cricket.
Coach called a team meeting, his voice firm.
"Champions League Finals are near. We must stay focused and united."
Shubman's phone buzzed.
A text from an unknown number:
"Your relationship will ruin your career. You'll lose endorsements, sponsors."
Shubman's grip on my hand tightened.
" Ignore it," I whispered, trying to reassure him. "It's just a troll."
But Shubman's expression changed.
Doubt crept into his eyes.
"Maybe they're right," Shubman said, his voice barely above a whisper. "Maybe I'm risking too much."
My heart sank.
Was Shubman's confidence shaken?
"I'm here for you, always," I said, holding him close. "We'll face this together."
Shubman's teammates rallied around him.
Mayank: "We stand by you, Shubman."
Rahul: "Your personal life doesn't affect your game."
But Shubman's uncertainty lingered.
