Episode 16: "Healing Scars" (Shubman's POV)
I held Ishan close, feeling his trembles subside as he buried his face in my chest. His tears had dried, but the pain in his eyes still lingered.
"I'm sorry for not being there for you," I whispered, my voice cracking with emotion.
Ishan's eyes met mine, filled with a mix of sadness and gratitude.
"You're here now," Ishan replied, his voice barely above a whisper.
I pulled him closer, feeling his heartbeat sync with mine.
"I'll never let you face your demons alone again," I promised.
Shahneel walked in, carrying a tray loaded with pancakes, scrambled eggs, and fresh fruit.
"Breakfast is served!" Shahneel announced, her bright smile a welcome respite.
We sat down, hands still entwined, as Shahneel joined us.
The morning sunlight streaming through the windows cast a warm glow on our little gathering.
As we ate, Ishan's gaze locked onto mine.
"I love you, Shubman," Ishan said.
"My love for you knows no bounds, Ishan," I replied.
Ishan's smile was faint, but it filled my heart with joy.
We finished breakfast in comfortable silence.
Shahneel broke the silence.
"Guys, I have an idea," Shahneel said.
"What is it?" Ishan asked.
"Let's plan a trip," Shahneel suggested.
"A trip?" I repeated.
"Yes!" Shahneel exclaimed.
"Somewhere peaceful," Ishan added.
"Exactly!" Shahneel agreed.
We spent the rest of the morning planning our getaway.
As we booked our tickets and accommodations, Ishan's eyes sparkled.
For the first time in days, his smile was genuine.
Our love would conquer all.
