Rias had left Jin, leaving him in the safe small hands of Ravel. Leaving him behind the cooking station looking at her work. Because today, he wasn't going to be able to eat right now, which broke his small fox heart. He was going to be able to learn from people who could manipulate flames similar to him. From people that were better at doing it than him. It was a rare opportunity for him as there weren't many that had as fine control over Fox Fire as he did. While making and manipulating Hell Fire was different, it could provide Jin invaluable insight into his own power.
Ravel: So, how does your power actually work? Why are your flames blue?
Ravel said as Jin watched her grill a steak in seconds. Cooked perfectly on the inside and out. Placed on the Devil's plate and served, for her to listen to the next order and begin cooking again. It was something amazing to watch. The process was perfect, fast and constantly produced perfectly cooked food.
But for Ravel to help him, she would need to understand if his power worked similarly to hers. If it didn't, she would have to try and understand how to help him. If his power worked the same, she could help him much more easily.
Jin: Well, Fox Fire skips the combustion process of fire, I don't create fire from magic, instead Fox Fire focuses on the control of energy. Through the immense physical reaction of energy, a hot burning blue flame is produced. You could think of it as actually shaking energy to make it more violent. The aesthetics of the flame, the blue glow, is but a byproduct of the physical reaction taking place. {Maybe when I become a master, I could even make the attacks invisible.}
Jin thought as he knew the byproduct was a blue glow. He could feel the energy when he made Fox Fire without heat and by doing so, he could likely make it invisible, but fire without heat wasn't very useful. At most, it was a neat party trick.
Yet Ravel seemed impressed.
Ravel: Oh! So it's different from how I do it.
Jin: How do you do it?
Jin asked as Ravel was multitasking. She made her flames dance around the meat, talking to Jin while preparing more meat. Moving around, it was as if she was dancing too. Listening to customer orders and then responding to Jin.
Ravel: The Phenex family has special Demonic Power. You could say our Demonic Power is inherently different from others. Like Rias and her Power of Destruction. When we imagine flames, it naturally produces Hell Fire, a special flame that can burn hotter than regular flames ever could. With our natural ability, we can manipulate the flames using our energy. Making it stronger by feeding it more Demonic Power. Think of it as actually summoning flames from hell. The Phenex Family has the power to manipulate those flames!
Ravel said in a burst of fire, almost like a firework behind her, looking at Jin and posing as he gave a small clap and a smile. Manipulating flames from hell was impressive. He couldn't say his fire represented such power. But as he clapped and smiled, Ravel blushed intensely. Going back to cooking as she looked down.
Ravel: Do... Do you want to try and cook? {Why... Why did I pose like that?! Why was his reaction so adorable?!}
Ravel wanted to clap her face, making red marks on her cheeks, but she was too busy cooking. She had no way of justifying her blushed face.
Jin: I'll try. {Hopefully, I don't turn it to ash. Turning the heat off and on is easy. Turning the heat up is easy. Regulating it is much harder than it sounds.}
Jin said as he walked up and grabbed a spatula, Youjutsu symbols appeared around him and a black apron appeared on him to everyone's surprise. It almost seemed as if the wind blew in his favour. His hair perfectly swaying with his black apron. His crimson eyes glistened as female Devils fawned. Jin wasn't doing anything.
