Alleys weren't the only places that were dark. Basements weren't the only locations that hid the darkest of secrets. What could look like a regular house, could contain the darkest of things. Though, a regular house wouldn't have a metal table in the living room. Tools that looked like surgical equipment on a table beside it. A regular house wouldn't have a body, still, lying on the table. The living room looked like an operating theatre without any devices. A dead body on the table.

Yet that dead body wasn't all that dead. It was cold, but it had a heartbeat. Its eyes slowly flickered awake, as if waking from a slumber that lasted an eternity.

Slowly a young man with sharp features rose from the metal table, like a mummy out of a coffin. His yellow eyes shot open looking at his surroundings. A standard living room, with blackout curtains, wooden floors, and a sofa. Only dimly lit up by a single lightbulb above the metal table. However, this was no normal living room with the surgical table and equipment in it.

Slowly, the young man touched the top of his head, feeling the long silver hair that spiked upward in two large prongs. He looked down at his body, completely naked, but he had a lean, muscular physique without a single scar. The young man on the table, none other than, Garo.

Garo: {Where am I? Hell... that skeleton bastard from before.}

Garo slowly got off the table, yet he couldn't feel another being within the house, living or dead. He felt his own body,  he felt his energy. Slowly gripping his hands, everything felt natural to him. There was nothing out of place. His body was in balance, perfectly aligned with his senses.

Garo: {There's no trace of my previous mutations or monsterization. Am I human again?}

Garo sensed the entire house with his senses of smell, sound, taste, sight, touch, and even magic. But there was nothing. As far as he could tell, it was a standard home. But for some strange reason, he couldn't sense outside of the home. He thought maybe it was a barrier blocking his energy and his natural five senses. Walking through the house and to the front door.

Garo: {It doesn't matter, since I'm alive, I just need to find Ban and kill him! It's only fair now since he killed me.}

Garo smirked as he walked towards the front door. A plain wooden door with a small golden letterbox. Grabbing the circular golden handle and slowly twisting it. Heading out to his freedom. To the greater world. He didn't care why he was alive right now, but this was his opportunity. He felt the passage of time in Hell, Ban was going to be old. If he could recuperate some of his power, he could finally beat Ban

At least, that's what he thought. He thought what was surrounding the house was just a barrier. That there was an outside world.

???: I wouldn't open that if I were you.

Garo opened the door hearing the words spoken by a deep voice all too late. As he opened the door, he wasn't greeted by a blue sky or a night sky. It wasn't cloudy or clear. He wasn't greeted by the cold or warmth of Earth. He didn't feel the still air or a violent wind. Instead, he looked outside and saw a void of darkness. It was black. All back. Like a black hole, no light emitted from the house could escape the void. There was an absence of anything in the darkness.

But that didn't stop the darkness from trying to pull Garo out of the house. Small black hands grabbed him and his body, trying to drown him in darkness. The hands felt sticky, it felt like he wouldn't be able to pull the darkness off him. A darkness that consumed all.

Garo: THE HELL! Get off me!

Garo said as in a whip of his hand, the dark hands were cut and he slammed the door shut in an instant. Any dark hands stuck to his body seemed to fade, leaving him. And as Garo turned around, he looked at the black-cloaked skeleton. Mors.
