Jin rushed through the halls, passing Hinata, Taiki and a fox Kunou who all looked very confused. Looking at Jin who rushed like he was late for work. But it wasn't work he was late for, to be accurate, he wasn't even late. Rushing to dark double wooden doors as he slowed down. Taking a deep breath in front of it. He was in fact, just in time. Using Youjutsu to change and clean gave him just enough time so he wasn't late.
He was just in time for his serious conversation with Sona's parents. A serious conversation about their future together.
Taking a deep breath, Jin was ready. Opening the door and being welcomed to a room of similar decor to the rest of the house. However, this wasn't a living room, a lounge or an office. The long dark wooden table, the cushioned dark wooden chairs. The paintings in the room. It all pointed towards one purpose. This was a meeting room. Both Sirus and Sumi already sat down at one end of the table. Facing the doors Jin just opened.
Sirus: Please sit down Jin, let's discuss your future.
Sirus said as a blue magic circle appeared and so did a pile of papers. It was unlikely Sirus was going to have him sign anything today, so Jin was confused as to what the documents were for. But he pulled out a chair and took a seat at the table. Directly opposite Sirus.
Sumi: Please don't be too intimidated. We're just doing this to secure a future for our household.
Jin: Don't worry about it. You couldn't drive me away from Sona even if you tried.
Jin said with a smile which made Sumi happy. Jin was the only one Sona had ever displayed interest in. They didn't want to scare him off with formalities. If they did scare Jin off, it would mean they might have to spend many more years trying to find someone else for Sona. If that was even possible.
Sirus: Now, let's go over your life first. There are a few questions we need to ask just for clarity.
Sirus said taking out a few pieces of paper. The sum of Jin's life. Slightly reductive, but again, these were formalities they needed to go over. Jin didn't take any insult to it. In the earlier years of his life, Jin spent days in and out doing the same thing. He wouldn't be surprised if someone could sum his life up into a single piece of paper.
Sirus: You're highly talented Jin. It seems there's nothing you can't do. Your school grades are perfect, though it has been noted on your record that you don't pay attention in class.
Sirus said as he looked at Jin. At that moment, he understood. This was like an interview. To make sure he wouldn't bring harm to the family or their daughter. They needed to know certain things about him to make sure they made the correct judgement about his character.
Jin: I studied the entire curriculum at a very young age. Everything up to a college degree. I find that having people tell me what I already know over and over again becomes boring. Hence I tend to phase out in class. I would like it to be known though, when we're studying literature, I go over the given piece. It should also be noted that all homework is completed to a high standard. I also help others with their homework.
Sumi: We do know how hardworking you are. We also came to the conclusion that classes would be boring for you considering your unique background. Sona has told us you taught yourself from an early age. To think it was up to a college level though. Do you have any interest in taking further education past Kuohs college level?
Jin: I have given it some thought, though I wouldn't know what to do. I have thought about getting a university degree. I even thought about a PHD. I believe I could do it, but again, I don't know what I should choose from. I don't have a particular favourite subject.
Jin said as Sumi and Sirus looked at each other. Nodding as Sirus wrote down what Jin said and the potential of what those words and actions could mean. Moving his pen down the paper, he looked at other parts of Jin's life.
