Mittelt came home late every night. The people she was protecting, Fallen Angels and rogue priests were unlikely to attack them during the day. They would use the darkness of the night as their cover. So every day after school, she would go out and protect those she could, or monitor those she thought might get attacked. Every time she came back home the others were asleep, tired from school or the duties they had. Especially Akeno, Koneko and Aika who had been working more than usual. Sometimes they missed dinner or Aika was too tired to cook, simply dropping onto the bed. Despite their summers being busy, it was much more relaxing than school on top of their peerage duties.

Taking their clothes off, and hitting the bed, everyone that had a late night passed out instantly. Needing to adjust back into the routine of long days they weren't used to. Unlike Mittelt who had been stalking in the night for hundreds of years. Doing long and boring menial tasks for thousands of years because of how weak she was back then. This was nothing to her.

Jin also didn't know why everyone was pushing themselves so hard at the start of school. They had just come back from summer, but they seemed to have a sudden urge to work hard. Jin didn't question it much though. Maybe he motivated them. He was always busy. If anything, they were only tasting a fraction of what Jin did every day.

But every time Mittelt came back home, despite working on his Artisan business, training in martial arts, taking care of Kunou and making sure she was happy, Jin was always awake. Since Aika was a lot more tired, pushing herself harder, Jin prepared dinner for Mittelt each day. He even ate another meal with her if Aika had enough energy to cook. Watching movies with her, cuddling. It meant the world to her.

Mittelt couldn't say she was protecting people for completely pure reasons. She wasn't like Jin who seemed to be more pure than Light Power. She didn't suddenly start caring about every Sacred Gear holder that she stalked. She didn't gain a heart to care about everyone. People died. She had lived longer than any human and would watch generations of humans pass. Mittelt sure as hell didn't mind killing. But there were some people she didn't want to see die. Like the woman she saved who had children. A single mother. Mittelts own parents were killed. She couldn't let other children be left alone in this world.

It was strange. Mittelt didn't remember every Devil she had ever killed in her life. But she thought about it more. Now she was friends with Devils. The ones she killed, she thought more about the families they likely had. Fighting priests and saving Sacred Gear holders, wasn't only good training. Mittelt saw it as something she had to do, after killing so many innocent people in war, she now had to save them. This was her way of repenting.

Jin being there as she came home, letting her come back to a house that welcomed her, through the slight turmoil of her mind, it warmed her heart.

But now, Mittelt was again doing her thing. Something she was a professional at. Stalking. Some people would call it observation and information gathering. But after Jin called it Stalking so much, she began to call it Stalking too. She had been stalking people for hundreds of years.

Mittelt was the Raven Stalker.

She was sitting on top of a roof edge, Mittelt looked through a window and into a room. Watching a little girl and monitoring her surroundings. The room was of a child, a little girl soundly sleeping. The room was bright in pink just like her bedsheets. Mittelt found it adorable and monitored the surroundings, but there wasn't a single priest in sight. No one tried to enter the house and the mother was asleep in their own room.

Mittelt: {I guess this little one is safe for today. I've also confirmed the others I previously took care of are still alive. After a few failed attempts to capture others outside of Kuoh, Raynare must be calling the others back to Kuoh. She can't afford to lose too many pawns. It may seem like she's desperate, but she's smart.}
