4. Eudokeo

Archon brought me to what looked like a safehouse or bunker, about two more people were in including an animal or small creature I've never seen before. Its fur shimmered gently from time to time, and wasn't too bright. It had small crystals growing on its body, growing like spikes on its tail too. "What is that?" I pointed to it. The creature looked at me with its big eyes, ones that barely had any features but the color white. "That, sir, is Lux. It's a luxarcanis, named lux because of its illumination, and arcanis comes from arcane, which means 'known or knowable to only a few people.' Which means it's rare. My name's Eudokeo, but you can call me Eudo." Eudo extended his hand, wanting me to shake it. I didn't pay attention to him that much, since my eyes were locked onto Lux. I wondered what sounds it made? "Sir. Hand." He grabbed my hand and shook it, walking away towards a beautiful woman. She had long down-to-shoulders black hair that looked shiny, caucasian skin, and light green eyes. Her eyes didn't glow as much as Archon's did. "Psst. Onyx is here, Erah. Go say hi."

The woman turned around, a happy smile and a notepad in her hand. The writing looked like symbols turned into messy cursive. Archon was not there. "Hi! My name's Erah. Don't bother telling me yours, Archon talks about you all the time. Compliments you, complains about you, the whole plate. I'm rating you a 7/10 based on what he's been saying so far." Erah sounds really energetic. I like her already. "I like you so far. So uh... Archon said that you'd be able to help with stopping the future war and the murders?"

Erah nods slightly, moving over to the big table in the front of the room. Now I get to look around more while she's doing what she's doing. The whole room looked like it's been existing for about more than a century or two. Old, but still existing. The floor and furniture was clean though, like they were cleaned before I came here. The floor was a gray carpet that felt both soft and old. And the furniture looked like a rose pattern, blue roses that looked like they were crystallized. "Alright. Here's a small map with places we can go for extra help, the full safe zone, and where the main cities are. There's the sand village where I'm guessing you, Onyx, came from, and south of that is another village that's bigger, more developed, and populated by luminaries. Come look." I stepped closer to her, right beside her as I looked down at the map. It looked like it's not the first time she's drawn something like this, but it also looked poorly made. I can't make it better, but it's good to describe it.

"Vis said they'd allow us to use their separate headquarters. Where's Lux gonna go?" Archon said. I was pretty happy to see him here, I'm not gonna lie. Erah's cool, but I didn't want to be alone with someone I didn't know. "I'll take care of him. And A, why don't you tell Onyx over here what you've been saying about him? I think he'd really love to hear it." Eudo laughed a bit, elbowing Archon's arm and looking at the map that Erah drew. "Eudo, come on. Don't embarrass him." "Erah already told me, Archon. It's alright."

We started heading to the headquarters. Erah decided we should walk there instead of teleport so we were able to talk on the way. "Archon? Who is Vis?" "Not who, what." Erah said before Archon began to speak. Archon gave her the side-eye before talking. "It's a medium-sized group of people like us. People that don't want all this murder that goes on. They mostly hid, but they agreed to help us. Most of them did, anyway," he sighed, looking at the ground. He had his hands in his pockets. He was wearing dark jeans and a black t-shirt, and was watching the ground as we walked. I couldn't help but stare at him.

"They could help us big-time. Oh, Archon. I'll stay behind at the headquarters, you go ahead with Onyx to the safehouse when we're done and tell Eudo to go out and get food for Lux. Onyx doesn't know where to get it, you've done enough, I'll be at the headquarters, and Eudo needs to get out more. That's why I'm making him do it." She looks at Archon, catching me staring and him looking down. "Mhm." He nods his head slightly and I look away.

Archon teleported me and him to the safehouse, where Eudo was. He went towards Eudo and I went and explored the place. I found a bathroom, multiple bedrooms, and a kitchen. The safehouse was decently big. I ignored everything but one of the bedrooms, which had one bed with a similar design to the furniture. There was a small nightstand next to the bed and the wallpaper had dark scribbles with an off-white background. I pulled the blanket back, getting inside between the mattress and blanket slowly before pulling it up. "Hey. Eudo's gone, Lux is fed, and we're all alone for a while. Can I lay with you?" He says quietly but audibly. "Sure. Come on." I pull the cover back on one side, scooting over to the one with the blanket up. Archon moves over to the bed, getting in with me and laying down on his back just like I was. He moved the blanket up.

"If you're going to bed, then I hope it's okay if I'm still in here. And if I sleep with you." It sounded like he had nervousness in his voice, but almost barely. "I don't mind what you do, and I'm not going to bed yet." I rolled over, now on my side and facing him. Archon was staring at the ceiling as I stared at him. "...What?" He looked at me. I guess he could see me staring from the corner of his eye. "Nothing... Just thinking." I looked away, looking down at the bed. "What are you thinking about?" Archon rolls over to his side now, his body facing me just like mine is facing him. "...You."
