Marley

Ever since I woke up Saturday morning with Callum holding me, I haven't felt the same. I never felt this way with Mason. Yeah sure, I liked Mason, but I never felt all tingly when I thought about him. I never felt my cheeks heat up when we made eye contact, or when he touched me.

Most importantly, Mason never made me feel wanted like Callum does.

The difference is so crazy, that it might even be an insult to Callum to compare them. Because Callum is a good person, and an even better friend.

Except he's not your friend.

I hear a thud downstairs, followed by a girls laugh.

Oh my lanta.

Does dad have a woman over?

Mom just died like five months ago!

This is not happening.

I stand up out of my bed, and pull open my door. The closer I get to the living room, the more my nerves raise.

What was I thinking? I don't want to see my dad in action. That's actually disgusting—

Oh my God.

That's not dad.

I halt in my tracks, staring at Brody and Tierny on the couch. Thank God they're both dressed still, but a heavy make-out session is going on. Brody is on top of Tierny, holding himself over her as she holds onto his neck.

I can't help but laugh, covering my stomach which cramps as I do.

"Oh shit," Brody climbs off of Tierny and clears his throat.

Tierny stands up, and straightens out her clothes, a worried expression on her face.

"I'm sorry Marley I didn't mean-"

"Sorry?" I question confused, looking in between the two.

Brody looks at me confused too. "Yeah...because I'm your brother...and that's your best friend."

"I'm not mad," I chuckle slightly as I shake my head and then my face falls a little bit. "Did you guys think I'd be mad?"

"Well..." Tierny scrunches her nose and tilts her head.

"I don't care if you guys are together," I shrug and sit down on the sofa that they weren't on.  "You're my brother and best friend. I want you both to be happy." Theres a beat and then I add. "But if things go bad—not that they will but if...don't make me pick a side."

They look at each other and then back at me. "Well in that case...we've been together for two months."

I gape at them "two months?"

"Yeah," Tierny cringes.

"How did you keep that a secret." I look at Brody. "You're a blabber mouth."

"I'll have you know I know a lot of secrets and haven't told a soul." He replies sassily. "Including your secret."

I narrow my eyes "You wouldn't dare."

"Oh but I would." He narrows his eyes back at me.

"Is this about Callum and you hooking up?" Tierny asks like it's nothing as she sits down on the sofa.

My head whips over to her. "How do you know?"

Her eyes widen "So it is true?"

"Shit." I smack my head realizing I just basically snitched on myself.
