"Come on Mar," Keely groans, "it's just one party. It'll be fun."
"Fun?" I scrunch my nose. "I haven't really had any fun at any parties here."
"But it's the holiday." The red head puts her hands on her hips which are covered by a red, sleeveless, corset crop top and a black pair of straight leg jeans. "You have to go to a party at the holidays."
"Says who?" I ask, still laid back in my bed, wearing the same pair of sweatpants and the same "Vols Football" hoodie I've been wearing for the past two days.
"Says Keely." Tierny walks into my room. "She thinks it's bad luck if you don't go to at least one party over break."
I squint my eyes in confusion. "Why?"
"Because the one time I didn't go to a party over break—" Keely sits down on the edge of my bed, "—I broke my leg at tennis—with scouts there."
"Well I've never had an issue with not going to parties over break." I shrug and rub my face.
"That's because you were an entire ocean away." Keely rolls her eyes. "But now, you're here. And you have to do it."
I let out a loud sigh. "If I go to this party will you be happy?"
She smiles "Very."
I roll my eyes "Fine."
Keely squeals excitedly and shimmies in her spot before standing up and going to my closet. She rummages through it, and doesn't say a word.
Tierny and I eye each other, and when Keely finally turns around holding up a white long sleeve shirt that has a v-neck, lined with lace, and a pair of wide leg jeans, she smiles.
"Here." She lays it out on my bed. "Go shower and put this on."
"Geez do I really smell that bad?" I joke as I stand up and pick up the outfit.
She playfully rolls her eyes and pushes me out of my room. "Hurry."
"Okay, okay." I say, slightly chuckling.
About thirty minutes later, I'm showered, my teeth are brushed, and I'm wearing the outfit that Keely picks out as Tierny curls my hair and I apply my makeup.
"I'm still not sure about this." I look at Tierny through my mirror.
"Oh come on," Tierny curls another piece of my hair. "It'll be so much fun."
"You don't know that."
"I do," she smirks, "because I know who will be there."
I glare at her at the same time Keely looks away from her phone and at us. "Who?"
