Chapter 39 Scary In The Dark

Chapter 39

*Jensyn's POV*

By the time we got to the park it was already dark. We ended up going to eat then bought more food to have with us. Stopping by my place to get the tent and some other things we might survive with. Or die who knows. Haha. We stopped right at the lake thinking how the heck are we going to get on the other side.

"Anyone though of bringing a boat..." I asked, they all looked at me weird.

"Where the heck am I suppose to find a boat!" Louis started singing

"and Ohhh Louis needs a boat He dresses like he owns one and its becoming a joke, we really need that BOAT!" I continued, we all just stood there looking at the lake thinking maybe it would move for us.

"Guys what about that big tree log over there?" Niall pointed in the dark, Harry and Liam went to pick it up.

"How are we going to fit on there?" Harry looked at it trying to figure out how we might all fit on there. No chance.

"Ok we take turns" Niall suggested, yes someone's thinking today!

"I'll be last you can go ahead, Niall can come and pick me up." I sat on the grass watching Zayn and Liam struggling to get the log still.

"YOU'RE LUCKY THIS ISN'T A RIVER!" I yelled making Zayn lose focus, and in the water he goes.

"GET ME OUT!" he yelled kicking his feet. We all started laughing if someone sees us they might think we're crazy!

"Zayn just stand up please" Liam sat on the log, Zayn sat up having that 'you didn't see that' look on his face and sat behind Liam.  

Liam dropped Zayn. Then Liam came back for Louis, Louis dropped Liam off and he came after Niall, but they ended up getting stuck in the middle.

"Great I might be stuck here for a while" I shivered, bringing my hood on my head. It's so quiet... I tried to make noise but it didn't work. Something bad always happens when it's silent...

*crack*

I shot up looking around.

"Is someone there?" I said quietly. Nothing. Probably just the wind, I hope. Sat back on the grass and started day dreaming. Until something cold grabbed my shoulders, I launched up with my heart beat going insane. I was holding onto my hoodie for dear life. Then I saw the curls in the moonlight. 

" 

You creep, I hate you" I punched his arm and sat back down.

"Didn't mean to scare you, I was just walking around." He shrugged laughing

"Ya ya, I thought you were on the other side already"

"Nope, did they forget us or  

something?" I shrugged at his question.

"Nahh Louis and Niall are just stuck at the middle." He laughed spotting them trying to move.

"Wanna go for a swim and help them?" Harry was already on the water when he asked that so I don't feel like staying here all alone.. I jumped in and started swimming.

"IT'S SO COLD!" I half screamed. We got to the middle close to where they are and we started pushing the log slowly.

"Oh my god it's working! We're moving!" Louis yelled happy. Harry and I just cracked up in the back laughing quietly. We pushed them until they were close to the shore then got out of the water on the side where they couldn't see us.

"I thought you guys would be stuck there the whole night" Liam laughed helping them out of the water.

"I'm going back after Jensyn, and umm where's Harry?" He squinted his eyes to see on the other side.

"Right here" we walked right beside them. They all look surprised.

"But how?" Niall pointed on the other side then at us, confused.

"Magic!" We both laughed.

"Ok let's start a fire." Liam took the back pack from Niall and set it down on the floor.

"Niall go get some wood so we can make a fire"

"K dad" he patted Liam's back, and took my hand on his way.

"He never said Jensyn" I bugged him, I held his hand tighter walking into the darker part with a lot of trees.

"Remember that's how we found the tree house" he whispered quietly into my ear. The wind was picking up creeping between the tall dark trees.

Have you been around it since I left?" I asked, studying every movement behind us.

Yeah, you'll be surprised how awesome it is now. Can't wait to go back with you to see it."

"Yeah if I make it." Crap I said that to loud, yay me way to ruin the moment.

"Ugggghhh!" A sound came from farther ahead. It was dead silent, not even our breaths were heard. Frozen in place. Until Niall pulled me behind a tree, he was peeking through the branches to see what it could be.

"Umm what was that?" I whispered. I'm not scared... I just don't think I wanna be murdered. That's all.

"Shh, I can see a shadow."

"Niall this is bad, Niall that thing or person has an axe, Niall I'm not kidding I'm doing to die before it kills me." Okay now I'm scared. I held onto his shirt

"Niall do you think it can smell us?"

"Well it's coming right our way so yes! Can we make a run for it!" He looked around

"damn we're screwed!"  

The shadow came closer and closer...
