To protect each other

"Greninja! Water Shuriken!"

Greninja gather up water in a form of a shuriken and throw it to the door in front of him and knocked the door to the opposite side.

As the group enters the room, they saw Kai on the chair tied up on his arms and legs.

"I must say, you three are presistent to have come this far."

Agate and Spinel stands in front of Kai, indicating they were the ones who kidnaps Kai.

"You... are the same person at that dark alley!"

"So you're the one who tried to stole Liko's pendant!"

"Just who are you two?"

Although Ash know it's a pointless question, it doesn't mean it wasn't worth it at all.

"Sorry, but we obliged to not answer that." Agate decide to not answer his question.

"At least i tried..." Ash muttered quietly.

Ash decide to asked another question when he looked at Spinel, "Earlier when Liko's at the dark Alley, what were you about to do if Kai doesn't interfere?"

"You curious aren't you? Well, i can answer this one question for you."

Shadow covered around his forehead as Spinel eyes gives a glint of evil reflected in the shadow, "If your acquaintance Kai doesn't interfere with my plan, i used Beheeyem to lost her memory and took her pendant. I also plan to make her pokemon lost her memory as well."

"...What?!"

"That's possible?!"

"Erase.... M-My... Memories?!"

The reaction were divided, Roy got surprised and a little bit of fear, Ash started to sound angry as he clenched his fist, and Liko herself start to shaking in fear, her hands gripping on her pendant.

As Liko looked down at her hands, she realized that her left hand doesn't stop shaking at all. She was in fear, fear of not remembering who she is, fear of not remembering her happy moments, and most importantly...

She's in fear of losing her memories with Ash...

'Losing my memory with Ash...'

That words Echoed inside her mind, at that moment, she realized it.

'No... i don't want my memories of Ash gone to nothingness!'

Flashbacks of her time with Ash start to shows up in her mind.

'I still remembered the time we met, back in the bus where you alow me to pet Pikachu... back at school he saved me from falling off of the building twice, the time he protects me from the explorers, the time me and Sprigatito took our first step to help Ash back then when team rocket battles Ash. And lastly...'

She remembers the wholesome time Liko spent with Ash for a while.

'I don't want to forget, the time i spent with Ash! Never!"

"Don't you dare..."

Liko mind went back to the real world

"Don't you even dare to erase Liko's memory! There were some memories that was important in life and you thought erasing her memories like that is okay?!"

"For the sake for our goal, it's important at all."

Ash clenched his fist, he already had quite enough of it.

"If that's how you want to play it..."

Ash pulled a 180° on his hat, his eyes shines in anger just by seeing his glare, "Walk over my dead body!"
