Olivia woke on her 3rd day on the road in a rundown hotel room in Atlanta, Georgia. She had lived in Atlanta with Ben for 4 months, it was the only place she ever made a real friend and today she had planned to stop by and say hi so she woke the twins and changed thier diapers and got them dressed as she thought back to when she first met amanda rollins in Atlanta.

Ben had left for work that morning after anotheround with olivia. Olivia needed air and took a drive to a diner near by thier trailer park and sat at the counter keeping her face down as a pretty blonde came over and said "what can I get you darlin?"

"Um...just a coffee decaf please" Olivia said in a low tone. Olivia was 7 months pregnant and knew enough to know caffeine was bad for the baby.

The blonde went and poured her a cup and said "does he do that often?" She asked.

Olivia looked up slightly "excuse me?"

"The shiner on your cheek I'm assuming your man gave it to you?" The blonde said.

Olivia didn't answer.

"Yeah my mama used to get one of those on a regular basis by my daddy" she said.

Olivia looked at the young woman "he...he doesn't mean it" she said.

"Yeah. That's what they all say afterward. Names amanda by the way." Amanda sighed.

"I...I'm olivia" she said shaking the young woman's hand hesitantly.

"Let me just tell you Olivia it doesn't get better. It either never changes or it gets worse just don't let your little one be the next target." She said.

After that day Olivia went by the diner often and hung out with amanda but never told Ben knowing he'd hate it if he knew she had a friend.

Olivia reminisced over the good times with amanda as she drove to that diner now oly to find out amanda had quit and joined the police force. She was hesitant to see her now but made sure her fresh bruises were covered well before walking in to the station house in Atlanta and asking for her by name.

As olivia waited she remembered the night Ben had found out about amanda.

He backhanded her and yanked her up by her hair after she fell "I told you when I'm at work you stay put!"

"I...I'm sorry Ben I just got...lonely" she said shaking.

He touched her stomach and clenched it slightly "you want to keep this baby you will learn to listen do you understand?!"

She shook her head yes "yes..yes I'm sorry Benny please don't hurt it" she pleaded.

He once again raped her that night but thankfully didn't hurt the babies.

She was pulled out of her memories by a familiar voice as she looked up and smiled and hugged amanda. As Emily and Eden were on a blanket playing on the floor.

Amanda hugged her "Olivia? Wow it's been a while" Amanda said.

Olivia nodded slightly "I know I'm sorry I didn't tell you I was leaving Ben made the decision and we left in the middle of the night." Olivia replied so thankful to see a friendly familiar face.

Amanda looked down at the two young toddlers on the floor "who are they?" She asked.

"Um...these are my twins, Emily and Eden." Olivia replied.

"They are beautiful Olivia." Amanda half smiled "so are you here with...ben."

Olivia shook her head "no he's...he's in California still I think. I'm just passing through I'm going back home to new york...you were right amanda I couldn't risk him going after my girls."

Amanda looked at her once best friend "why don't you stay here with me?" She said.

"No...i...I can't this would be the first place he would look...I ran away amanda he's probably already looking for me." Olivia sighed "it's great to see you...your a cop now?" She asked.

"Yeah for about a year." Amanda smiled.

"Um...look amanda I'm sorry to ask but up do you think I could barrow some money I swear once I'm settled ill get it back to you." She pleaded.

Amanda sighed "Liv i...I don't know." She said hesitantly.

"Please amanda I wouldn't ask if it wasn't really important." Olivia sighed. Slightly looking in to her friends eyes.

Amanda nodded "ok why don't you stay the night and we can go to the atm in the morning?"

"N..no I can't I want to make it to New York before dark please anything will help." She said.

Amanda hesitated but loved Olivia more than even her own sister so she pulled out her wallet and handed her $300 "sorry that's all I got right now." Amanda said.

After talking for a bit and eating a small meal together with the girls amanda and olivia went thier separate ways.

Amanda hugged her friend "stay safe Olivia and get in touch with me as soon as you can ok?"

Olivia nodded "thank you again amanda. I...I love you. Keep being amazing" she said as she loaded her girls back in the car before finally pulling away.

Amanda sighed as she watched Olivia's car drive away till it was out of sight.
