Me, Eden and Emily (a Bensler fanfic)

Olivia stayed by her daughters side the next 3 days while Elliot had gotten Emily to have her scanned but elliot and olivia didn't tell the girls the news yet not wanting to make them more scared then they already were.

Dr. Hanson called olivia and elliot to the hall. "So we have looked over Emily's scans and there is no sign of a tumor or signs of one forming so for now I feel we are clear as far as Emily. Tomorrow will be Edens first treatment so you will want to talk with her and prepare her as much as possible." He said.

Olivia sighed glancing through the window at her 2 daughter's giggling and playing dolls in Edens hospital bed. "Um..alright....thank you, Dr. Hanson." She said in a barely there tone.

Elliot wrapped his arms around her and kissed her forhead "we just have to keep faith and hope."

"I...I can't lose my girls El." She whimpered in to his chest.

He stroked her hair and held her close as she cried on his chest. "We will do everything we can to try and prevent that from happening. " He sighed.

Later that night elliot called fin and had him take Emily home to the nanny Lana as him and olivia sat with Eden preparing to tell her about the chemo.

"Ok princess we have to talk." Elliot said touching Edens hand.

"About what daddy?" She asked noticing tear stains on Olivia's cheeks "did I do something bad? Is that why mama cried?"

"No baby not at all." Olivia said stroking her daughters hair "but me and daddy have to tell you something and it's not easy to say." She continued.

She nodded her head "ok." She said and looked at elliot and olivia.

"Well princess....your sick...but it's not like when you have the sniffles or a upset tummy this sick is in your brain and the doctors and mama and daddy want to help get it out." Elliot started.

"So tomorrow morning the doctor will take you down with me and daddy to put you on a machine that is going to give you medicine that will help to make the booboo in your brain go away." Olivia continued. "You have cancer sweetheart" she finally said.

Eden thought for a few minutes and then said "my friend Jenny's grandma had cancer and she died....am I gonna die mommy?" She asked as tears formed in her own eyes.

"No hunny that's why your getting the medicine." She said although she knew it was a possibility she refused to tell her daughter.

Eden was scared that night but olivia lay in the bed with her and stroked her hair and finally managed to get her to sleep. And she kissed her sleeping daughters head as tears silently fell down her cheeks.

Eventually olivia passed out in the recliner next to her daughters bed out of sheer exhaustion and elliot just sat there watching them both sleep and he silently prayed that everything would go back to the way it was but his heart sank feeling it never would.
